The three of us love good sushi and this place, recommended by a local, was absolutely spot-on. Going from the Gyozo to the Oysters, oh and the Tuna Tataki, and the soft shell crab tempura, and, and, ... and served with a great bottle of...unfiltered sake [JOTO].More

Sushi snobs beware.... This is the best sushi. We ordered 4 rolls. Each were full of flavor, fresh and came out quick. Service was impeccable. I would rate this more than 5 starts if I could!

This place has been a favorite for take-out throughout the pandemic and I realize I have never reviewed it. A recent meal did not disappoint. The chef's selection of sushi is excellent as other the other sushi offerings. We continue to enjoy this restaurant and...appreciate their fine food.More

We stopped at Douzeo for lunch as it had good reviews on Tripadvisor. Well we had to wait for a long time before we received our four rolls of sushi. They did not have any good maki lunch specials, the four rolls that we received...were OK, not good. Especially the spider roll was only four pieces and hard to eat as they were too big and not good at all taste wise. So we will go somewhere else next time. Not worth the wait.More

My son and I made reservations and went to Douzo on a Monday evening. Even on a weekday night, the restaurant was pretty full. It's definitely not a quiet place to talk. There are lots of college students. One particularly large party of students was...next to us and one of them kept complaining about the portions and had a pretty foul mouth. That affected the meal but it was not the restaurant's fault. The menu is quite extensive and flexible. There is a separate nigiri menu and lots of funky rolls, but additional fun tapas style dishes to choose from as well. If you are a "orthodox" type of sushi aficionado, this is not the place to go. There is no sushi chef and no hinoki wood counter, etc. On the other hand, this is a lot better than the usual Korean/Japanese sushi places that are a dime a dozen in Boston. I would say this is a fun/interesting option for dinner, but I would not go here for a special or intimate occasion.More

Walked right past the restaurant the first time, on our way from the train station — won't make that mistake again, as this is a great spot to stop. We had a great lunch, starting with shared calamari tempura, then chirashi and bento.

Good restaurant with modern touch on the inside. The food was well prepared with a slight hint of fusion. However, it preserves the traditional side very well. Perhaps it is due to the flow of the number of diners, but the service of the staff...(waitresses) is not adequate to the level of restaurant that it claims to be or was rated. The waitress had no knowledge about sake. The worst part is calling for waitresses for service. It is a headache.More

Excellent sushi, nice atmosphere and an extremely friendly staff. Went there for lunch. Miso soup was outstanding as was the sashimi. We are big fans of Japanese cuisine and highly recommend.

Great looking Japanese restaurant in the city. The interior is very stylish but the food is slightly above average. The rolls are interesting but I waiting a long time for my food.
