Typical Italian take away/restaurant in South Boston. Very busy which is always a good sign. Large selection of pizza, pasta, sandwiches, chicken, burgers etc. Calzone was little disappointing, could have been bigger if sharing.

Good pizza but not great. Went with my son and order three slices. Little did we know, one slice is actually the size of two so order carefully. Pizza was good but there may be better in elsewhere in Boston.

Came here for a quick lunch. They work hard to get you in and out quickly. The portions are huge, so I was glad I split one slice with a friend. Good but not great.

All the places near Fenway were jam packed and the waits were super long, however, we stopped here for a slice of pizza and it was real quick. The pizza was good but nothing special. But the price and convenience was priceless!

Sal’s pizza- Boston’s best. Not much more to say except that the 2 ladies working there were super nice and friendly. They moved quick and were very professional and soooo nice to everyone. Where else can you get a “slice” of pizza for $4.50 that’s...really 1/4 of a pizza pie?! Sal’s- enough said.More

Looked thru reviews. Decided to give it a try. Ordered Sal special and Greek salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. Worth the walk! Yum!

We stopped at Sal's because it was conveniently located across from Boston Commons and we were sightseeing along the Freedom Trail. We had just been to the visitor's center near by. First thing we noticed, even though it was close to 90 degrees outside I...think it was nicer outside than it was inside of Sal's. Once inside we noticed they had a large selection of pizza. I got the meat lover's and my wife got a slice of tomato and spinach. We both enjoyed what we had. The slices are large and actually cut in half making them easier to eat. They have thin crust slices and were not chintzy with toppings that were plenty flavorful. While I enjoyed the meat lovers I had I think the tomato and spinach my wife had was even better. We also had a garlic knot that was very good. The day we were there they did not have any diet soda in the coolers, so I got water. But they appeared to have a pretty good selection of bottled drinks. Inside there aren't tables to sit and eat, but there are counters where you can stand if you want. We took ours to go and walked back to the picnic area in the Commons across the street.More

After 6+ hours of hiking around the city, we just wanted to head back to the hotel and rest. Decided to stop by Sal’s for a couple slices of pizza (meat lovers & pepperoni/pineapple/jalapeño) and a couple freshly made cannoli. Everything was so good -...the perfect easy meal after a long day of sightseeing.More

We stepped in here because it was so convenient to the tour we were taking at the Boston Common area. The Boston visitors bureau was just across the street. When you walk in, there are glass shelves with lots of pizzas prepared. You can order...a whole pizza or buy it by the slice. The slices are huge--a quarter of a pizza. We ordered 2 slices--one with pepperoni and the other with pepperoni, onions, and peppers. There were 2 adults and our son. This was enough pizza for us. However, there is no seating. You stand by the window and sit your pizza on a small counter that runs the length of the front large window. Also, no bathrooms. This made is a different kind of restaurant, but the food was delicious.More

Great spot conveniently located off of Boston Common near the visitor's center and the Park St. T stop. It was the perfect place for a quick bite to eat for our large group, and the service was very speedy. They have pizza by the slice...and salads if you want something a little lighter. You can also order full-size pizzas. They had a wide array of pizza options to satisfy a range of tastes.More

If you're buying by the slice, be advised that the slices are giant (a quarter of a 19" pizza), so could easily be shared between two people. The pizza was very tasty and the cost was reasonable. Service was good and fast. I would recommend.

We got some pizza here before going to the sweet sixteen games at TD Garden. We got the honey barbecue flavor I believe. It took about 20 minutes to cook. The large size pizza was big and tasty, for three of us it was plenty...of food. I was very satisfied.More
