Place was relatively quiet and slow on a Monday lunchtime when I visited. Had fish and chips and clam chowder. The latter was flavourful and packed with clam and potato bits. The fish was nicely battered and succulent inside.

First time I've had excellent service in quite awhile. The food was good. The price range is probably closer to $30-70. per person.

Great service, good food, nice quiet atmosphere. Food was good, but not great. Could have been tastier. Prices were a bit high.

I was pleased to find out that while staying at the Copley Marriott, that Legal Seafood was a short indoor walk from my room. I started with a very tasty but a very thin lobster bisque. What differentiates a bisque from soup? Bisque is supposed...to have a thick and creamy texture. This bisque was very thin. Server said that is the way they make it there. My meal was the seafood platter, shellfish and a piece of cod. Very tasty, very fresh ans served on a bed of fries with a small dollop of slaw.More

The food was so-so, nothing that would make us return. My husband ordered the watermelon margarita and commented that his cocktail on our flight was stronger. For my entree I ordered the crab roll and it looked delicious, however, as I scooped my first taste...of the crab filling, I also scooped up a long hair. I told our waiter and obviously he and the manager were extremely embarrassed…they both apologized greatly. I changed my order to the fish and chips, and the manager told me he would cover the cost of my meal, however, when we received the bill it was still included. Rather than make the visit even more awkward, we paid for both of our meals. Aside from that, the food was just ok, definitely not worth the $90 tab plus tip.More

Well food looked acceptable, service too, but when deciding on the dessert, we saw at least one mouse running on the floor. Quite shocking… We paid generously the bill and escaped. No tips unfortunately but we never experienced such a thing in western countries.

The food was good not great. First it was very hard to find the restaurant since its located in a mall. I also believe the dinners were overpriced. There are plenty of other fish restaurants in Boston to choose from

Legal Seafoods seems to be a chain in the Boston area with several locations. The food was good; we had lobster mac and cheese and Boston cream pie. Very good. My husband asked for iced tea and never got it. The server seemed very busy;...we only saw her a few times, to take our orders. The food was expensive but not out of the ordinary for seafood in the Boston area.More

We sat at the bar for lunch and a beer. Had salad with salmon, chowder and fish & chips. Everything was excellent and very fresh. The bartender was friendly and efficient and the vibe at the bar was more lively than I would expect for...a Tuesday afternoon with everyone chatting about the Celtics and Bruins - a real authentic Boston experience!More

When did Legal Seafoods turn into something worse than McDonalds - screwed up on the order, main came as I was finishing starter, no seasoning on the table - AVOID at all costs… How did they get so bad, walked out 😕 Not surprised it’s...empty, staff including the manager didn’t care!More

I remember Legal Sea Foods years ago, where the food was good and the service was excellent. Now it's gone through ownership changes, the food was over-priced and the quality of the clam chowder and fish has noticably declined. Total disappointment.

The hype didn't match the delivery. Service ok, reasonable fees, but a Tuna steak requested as medium-rare arrived well done. Dressing was fantastic, so the sides, it must be said. Poor seating, next to the waiters' kiosk and a garbage can - that was totally...unnecessary, since the restaurant was half empty and we were a business dinner - party of four. I won't come back to this location but will try again Legal Sea Foods.More

My husband and I are huge fans of LSF, however, our most recent dining experiences have been less than impressive. For starters, the Copley Place location is extremely ugly and rundown - the giant hole in the seat of our booth was an eye sore,...and looked filthy. Our waitress was ok, but it was clear she had no interest in being there - definitely not the type of service you’d expect in a higher end restaurant. The lobster bisque was awful, and the lemon caper grey sole was bland and mushy. The crab cake was riddled with shell, but my husband’s swordfish was excellent. Sadly, nothing about this dining experience (aside from the swordfish) was up to par. A pricey bill, with below average service, dingy surroundings, and disappointing food. We will definitely not be returning to this location.More
