We ate here 2 years ago and it was really good so we decided to return. It was even better than we remembered. Their clam chowder alone is worth a visit. I had a whole lobster with steamed mussels. Both were outstanding. Best mussels this...side of Europe. This is just a great place to meet and eat. We will be back.More

So delicious! We were seated immediately and based on the energy of the crowd, knew we had found a winner. As we were in Boston, we focused on the lobster options. I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese, which came with a side salad and...my partner had the Lobster Roll and fries. We couldn’t help but order a bowl of “Boston’s Best Clam Chowder.” Definitely visit this one.More

Natives returning to Boston, looking for perfect fried clams, scallops and shrimp. Boy did we hit the jackpot! Classic old world charm on Boston harbor. Superb service, the best clam chowder ever (they have consistently won Best of Boston), huge tender scallops cooked perfectly, small...fried clams which I adore, and tender baby shrimp. We could not have asked for a better meal and pricing was very reasonable.More

The Boston Sail Loft is a cute, quaint, dockside restaurant with beautiful views and the best clam chowder in Boston. That chowder lived up to it's reputation. It was delicious! However, the fish sandwich entree was just average and our server was so busy he...could barely make it to our table to check on us. I ran out of water early on in the meal and never received an opportunity to request a refill.More

We really enjoyed our dinner at Boston Sail Loft. They had a special of grilled Cajun swordfish that was amazing. We also got a cup of lobster bisque which was very good as well. The service in this small restaurant was great and we were...never left without a check in for long. They also made a pickleback happen for me which was great! I think they just poured some juice from their sandwich pickles into a shot glass and called it a day but it works! Will definitely come back next time I’m in Boston!More

The food is delicious! The staff is delightful! We definitely want to go back and try more dishes. The restaurant is well-known for its overflowing clam chowder, and it's outstanding! The fish-n-chips is fresh and tasty. The prices are pretty good, compared to other equal...restaurants.More

This was very nice but very normal! We tried the lobster but it didn’t taste fresh and was quite tough. This also came with muscles but they were cold. The best thing about the meal was the bowl of Clam Chowder which we shared as...a starter. This is a very busy restaurant and thankfully because we went for dinner quite early we managed to get a table but I can image trying to get a table any time after 5pm is very difficult and they don’t take reservations.More

We had about a 40 minute wait that was fine for a Saturday night and a group of 6. We had several that loved the stir fry and some shared the fisherman's platter. More than enough food and great service. Bar area was busy and...limited seating at the front.More

We spent a weekend in Boston and one thing I wanted to do was to have some Clam Chowder. I found this restaurant on Tripadvisor, highly rated. It lived up to its rating. We had clam chowder at 2 other restaurants, and this was the...best. It was very rich, creamy, tender clams. The restaurant itself was on a great waterfront location and the service was quick and friendly. I can definitely recommend Boston Sail Loft.More

We had time for one meal in Boston, and after much online research, we chose Sail Loft for the clam chowder. A solid choice! Four of the five in our party had a cup and enjoyed it immensely. Many also had a sandwich with it....I’m not a clam eater, so I had the chili. Google says Texas chili has no beans or tomato, but this had both. Not sure which is correct, but it was good to eat! Portions are large and prices were good.More

My wife and I visited earlier this week and had a lovely dinner. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The food was simply delicious and plentiful. I enjoyed the lobster roll while my wife sampled the shrimp wrap. The restaurant doesn’t take booking and operates on...a first come first served basis which was ok for us in January. We will undoubtedly eat here again, hopefully before returning home.More

There is a manned, pricey parking lot on the same side of the road as the restaurant within easy walking distance. There is very limited street parking in the North End.
