We visited this restaurant for a family meal after Thanksgiving on Friday. The entire experience was very comfortable. We received a text message that our table was ready prior to our reserved time. The staff was very kind at the restaurant and the food tasted...great. For appetizers, we ordered Bang Bang Cauliflower, and Crab Cakes. DELICIOIUS. For the main meal we ordered the lobster roll, Haddock etc. Overall, the food was very tasty and sumptuous. Those who visit Boston must try this local iconic restautant.More

Wonderful meal! Great view of the harbor while we ate. We had Mexican Street Cod! Chowder, OMG! Awesome choices !!!! I can’t say enough about how great this dish is. Delicious!! Crab cake combo was an 8 out of 10. Tuna burger was four stars....For dessert we had Bon Bons - excellent and fun! A surprise behind each chocolate shell. Also really enjoyed the Boston Cream cake with crushed Heath bar on it. We loved this place and might come back again. So many nice things to choose from to eat.More

The food is fabulous, the place is right on the harbor and beautiful. The downside is that it is packed and service is slow. I had to sit at the bar to even get served. The people next to me had their salads mixed up...and the correction took a long time as did my dish, which was baked. I would still recommend it but have lots of time and don't go a peak hours.More

Okay first time in Boston and we came over for late lunch. The menu is varied and the selection adequate. The food was excellent and generous portions. Our server, Grace, was on spot, professional and an absolute delight. The view on the harbor is wonderful.

We didn’t have a reservation so we fully understood the need to grab a seat at the bar. Service everywhere right now isn’t the fastest due to staffing. However, the folks working should be doing this with a smile and trying to do their best....Service here was just ok. Food was good. Average. Not what you would expect for the name and price. It wasn’t bad. Just feel would go elsewhere next time in the area.More

I travel solo most of the time and find that restaurants will treat me differently. This place clearly didn't want me there, as the service was terrible and the food was average. I wouldn't go here again if I was hungry.

We looked outside at seating before deciding to eat here. There were a lot of four tops open. We love eating outside. We walked to the front of the place and asked to sit outside. The host told us there was nothing available. Okay, though...we did the legwork and saw at least 4 four tops open outside, being two of us there should surely be room. We asked how long a wait would be for a four top, the host said about an hour. We said we'd wait. "That's not how it works here," she said, "it's like first come first serve." What an idiotic way to run a restaurant. Whatever, we just took what seating we could "get", which was right in a busy walkway where people bumped my chair constantly. The crab cakes were decent, if you like lots of bread in your cakes, to me it tasted more like a stuffing, but my partner really liked them, and the mustard they served with them. Oh, our server was really nice as well! While we were eating the toasted bread on a delicious lobster roll, people were seated outside, at one of the many places available to eat outside that WE SAW AND MADE SURE THERE WERE BEFORE WE WALKED IN. The coleslaw wasn't that great and the Chowder was crunchy, wtf. I would love to give this a higher rating if we were able to eat where we wanted to eat as paying *&!#$ customers: The food moves from decent to overpriced, and the experience moves from a serene view to NEVER GOING BACK. Just get some food to go and eat in front of this place, it's not worth going inside to spend money.More

I’ve always enjoyed the airport legal seafood. Was looking forward to the real deal. I was disappointed in some of the meals. The chowder was fantastic as always, chilled shrimp was good too. We also ordered the shrimp tempura sushi. We liked that as well....The lobster ravioli had fantastic flavor and nice chunks of lobster. My hubby ordered the crab combo and thought it was delicious. One daughter ordered the halibut. It was awful. A really bad piece of fish. It was sent back. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. At $49 it was a colossal waste of money. Hardly any lobster and the flavor just wasn’t there. I’m not saying I would not go again, but I would stick with the fried fish and fries. There are much better places to spend your money.More

The whole clam dinner was a huge disappointment. Bellies were so small they looked and tasted like an order of clam strips. Lobster bisque had absolutely no lobster taste. Service was slow even though there were empty tables.

This place came highly recommended so I had to visit! I ordered the lobster roll and it didn’t disappoint! It was offered hot or cold. The waiter said that it was traditionally served cold so I gave it a try. It was amazing!

Yes it’s touristy BUT the food is great, the service is great and it’s on the water. Even though the locals Pooh-Pooh this place it’s worth a visit. For 4 people for lunch about $250. 4 cocktails, crab cake appetizer, calamari appetizer, one lobster roll,...one cup and one bowl clam chowder, one lobster bisque, one hamburger, one Boston creame pie. All of this is good to great. The service was excellent, reservations possible inside, no reservations outside. We were here in late September and it was too cold for outside. Not necessarily a go-back for us as there are many other places to try but wouldn’t turn down going there. Enjoy!More

Had a friends reunion here yesterday. I am not a fish eater, but I do eat shrimp. I ordered the fried shrimp with French fries and a side. They advertise how great their seafood is. My wife and friends liked what they got. But, my...shrimp were excessively browned, hard and dry. I just figured that this is how they make them. I didn't enjoy them at all. My comparison is with Seafood Sam's in Sandwich. There, the fried shrimp are terrific. Next time someone suggests Legal Seafood, I will beg for somewhere else.More
