Lovely ambience … food cold as plates cold … manageress very rude and patronising … service not great . Shame because food could have been nice but an unpleasant experience …. Would definitely not recommend waste of your money

My husband and I have never experienced a restaurant where the music was so over the top loud that we could not hear each other across the table! Our complaint brought a manager but only to tell us the owners wanted it that way and...she couldn’t turn it down. Truly, it was horrible and ruined what started out to be a wonderful, fun night.More
Went to a business dinner with a large group. The waitstaff was very friendly and very considerate. We started us with cocktails and a assortment of small dishes that the staff just kept Inv bringing out to the table. Really enjoyed the fusion mix of...plates. What a great meal and nice staff.More
Walked in to this lovely restaurant without reservations,. We were seated at the bar , very comfy seats and it was full service. Chris was a sweetheart, explained everything and made suggestions to eat that were amazing. We loved it so much we decided to...make reservations for the following day . Next day dinner was as amazing as the first !! I suggest sushi definitely as your first entré and end the dinner with the Big fish desert !! The place is fun , beautiful and I fully recommend it !More
I’ll start out with the food and service are outstanding. It was just two of us and we ordered four items from the menu and we were stuffed…not in a bad way, but we were done. Our server was also very good about identifying that...we were new to Raku and helping us with picking a few items off the menu to get us going. And not everything comes at the same time. Here’s the thing. It’s like a tornado in Raku. You sit down and it feels rushed. You’re order is taken and within a few minutes, cocktails come (A+!). Then food starts coming immediately. I could not believe how quickly the food comes. We were done. Dessert, coffee, bill paid in about an hour 15. If that’s ok with you, then Raku is for you. I enjoyed Raku. I was just prepped for the tornadoMore
The restaurant is located at the Godfrey Hotel near the theater district. Great cocktails and interesting Peruvian/Japanese dishes. Flavors are lacking at times and it is a bit of a hit or miss when it comes to the quality and taste. Service if friendly, a...bit chaotic. We would go back.More
Good atmosphere, energy,a little load. Erica was a friendly, helpful server and worked us through the menu. Her suggestions were good. Started with cocktails. Bumble bee and Ganshi. Both very tasty. Tako meshi was great. Large bowl. Enough to share with 2 or 3 Phoenix...sunrise was a tasty roll with torched salmon. Yucca wasabi puffs were a yummy surprise. There are only 4 puffs. Finished with the fried dough cachangas. They were good but a little dissapointning compared to the dinner Basically fried donut holes.More
One of the best restaurants! All the food was excellent. The atmosphere and the decor is great. If you like fusion food you have to try it.
We really enjoyed our time at Ruka. We were sitting at the bar, the barman was very nice. Everything was super cool, from the interior design, menu and cocktails !!!! We LOVED our experience
Great service and food! The ceviche was delicious and the vibe was good. Good location downtown. Will be back and recommend
We showed up on a busy Friday evening with no reservation at 745pm and got seated immediately by a very polite hostess. The place has a hip vibe, with good music at just the right level (well for a 50 year old!) so we could...still talk without yelling. I could have eaten everything off the menu - choice is huge, prices are decent. We started with 2 rolls, then had a substantial Mongolian beef with (minimal) noodles. Make sure you try the tempura cheese - wow. We had the lost city tea pot cocktail for 2 - which was strong and tasty. Service was excellent throughout - our best dining experience in Boston and the bill was pretty reasonable. We will be back.More
The food is not too bad but nothing exceptional. The service is the worse I have experienced in Boston. You don't feel welcome when you arrive at this place (manager David very rude). So there are definitely a much better options in town especially when...it comes to Japanese / Asian food O Ya, Oishii or Zuma to name few.More
The quality of the food was fantastic, but the service was quite slow. Not much of a worry normally but we were off to the theatre.
I was so excited to try this restaurant as I had heard many good things about it. Great atmosphere and really nice vibe. Pretty limited menu but what we were able to order was really good. Loved the hamachi ceviche. We sat at the bar...expecting faster service but we were very mistaken unfortunately. I did everything but stand on the bar to get the bartenders attention so we could order more food. We watched him spend all his time reviewing the menu line by line with a couple at the bar while everyone else sat with empty plates and glasses. Not sure what that was all about but we ended up paying our bill and leaving earlier than we planned. It’s a shame that a restaurant has to suffer for one employee but when you can’t get good service its hard to give it a good review.More
This is not your ordinary upscale Asian restaurant. The South American twist is cleverly incorporated into the food. It's a unique perspective. The atmosphere is fun and vibrant. The service is great. If you like Asian food and are looking for something different this restaurant...is a must try.More
