The locals advised us to reserve a table. We scored a couple of seats at dinnertime without reservations at the bar overlooking the cooks at Myers + Chang. Liam, our server, was personable and explained the menu well, excellent waiter, encouraged the two of us...to share the dishes which are served hot off the wok, not necessarily together. Nasi Goreng (fried rice with shrimp, ground pork, and pineapple) was delicious, plenty enough for the two of us. The fried egg on top was a surprise, I assumed the eggs would be scrambled. The sambal sauce provided the perfect heat, hot enough to tingle my mouth without making my forehead sweat or my nose run.
Enjoyed watching the cooks, the pros are much more efficient in the kitchen than I am. The head chef/co-owner was cool, calm, and collected. Could not have been happier with our meals, next time I will try the braised pork belly buns.
I did not ask what the 3% Kitchen Appreciation charge was all about. Ah, sweet mysteries of life.More
