Though this is just an update to a previous review, I'm here again to praise their Jalapeno Popper Roll and SexySexy Roll, This is one of my favorite dishes and they made it perfectly. Even for takeout!, except this time under the circumstances of COVID...2020. I'm glad to say that they are still both marvelous! Their takeout quality is as good as when you were to eat it dining in as when I inhaled it in the car, I was reminded of the good ol' times when I visited them almost a year ago. Like before, the dishes were presented well, very flavorful, ingredients were fresh, and the portions were still more than fair (as is the price)!  The food met my expectations in every way so I was very pleased! Now about the service..... I called in the order 10 minutes before they opened and they were able to put it all together in about 20 minutes on a Saturday night. Not too bad! The pickup was relatively easy as they prepared the food in time so all we had to do was come in and pick it up without any waiting time or contact. The staff was very friendly and wearing masks. Certainly, I will return to KAZAN in the future again and again.More

Our family dined at Kazan over Thanksgiving weekend. Kazan provides impeccable Covid-compliant dining. The experience of such dining matched the excellence of our family’s previous visits. Food preperwtion is excellent, something for all of every generation: the speciality Doner kabab, a tangy lamb acili adani,...a smooth chicken shish, a salmon entre. The orange baklava for dessert is unique and must be tried. The meal is complimented by fine wine choices, including Turkish quality choices like Kavaklidiere. The service makes all go seamlessly. Highly recommended for family groups or couples!More

Since the pandemic hit, my husband and I have been getting restaurant food only for takeout — something we rarely did previously because we enjoy dining out. While I had regularly dined at Kazan before the pandemic, I have been surprised by how wonderful this...restaurant’s takeout is. I love its meat selections, but we have gotten hooked on its fish dishes for takeout since the early days of the pandemic — swordfish kabobs and grilled branzino. (Ask for these entrees when you order. They may be specials and not appear on the online menu.) While we took a chance ordering these dishes for takeout the first time, it is absolutely clear that Kazan knows how to prepare them perfectly, either for dining in or takeout. The fish could not have been more flavorful, moist, and delicious. The dolmas, salad, veggies, and rice were fantastic, too. It probably helps that we live only five minutes from Kazan, but somehow this restaurant gets it right every time — even with fish —and I have been dining there for decades. We will branch out and enjoy Kazan’s many other delicious entrees for takeout, too. It turns out that takeout can be a wonderful experience in these trying times. We make it special by ordering from Kazan and treating it like a “meal out” at home — complete with delicious food and flowers on the table.More

We have been dinning with Kazan for 4 generations of our family (even though we have moved to Delaware). Doner Kebab is our very favorite (prepared only on certain days of the week). The owner is Zeynel Abidin Uzun and is always present to greet...the many repeat guests that he serves. He has not raised prices in over 12 years, so if you want a superb meal, well served for a great value--this is the restaurant for you!! Wonderful, pleasant, well trained staff (each course is served with clean utensils, which I always consider the mark of a 1st class establishment)--even under Covid-19 rules. We always join them for lunch or dinner whenever we return to Northern Virgina!!!More

Kazan is a great choice for MIddle Eastern food. We had boreks, shishkabobs with rice, and eggplant dip. All were excellent. The boreks were really tasty, with a flaky, buttery crust. The rice was steamed, with a little touch of butter to give it flavor....The shishkabob was cooked and spiced just right. The service was excellent too. The bill was reasonable for this type of food. All told, this restaurant is a find.More

We called the restaurant to place our takeout order and picked it up. Curbside pickup is also offered. We have dined here many times (Before the Covid 19 shutdown) but this was our first time ordering takeout. Our food was just as delicious as when...we dined in the restaurant and the portions were very generous - can’t wait to order takeout again!More

We ordered several items for carry out during the COVID shutdown and found Kazan's food tasty and satisfying. Generous portions and lots of flavor! Especially loved the hummus! I'm pretty sure I could eat a vat of that by myself....

Kazan has a choice of many reasonably priced lunch specials. We were surprised that they included a salad. The waiter was attentive and service was good. The salad was a nice addition. The chicken shish kabob was good and not over cooked. The ground lamb...kabob was okay, but a little over done.More

The Kazan is and always has been one of my favorite Near Eastern restaurants in this area. The food has always been excellent. I have always like their lamb and yogurt dishes, and other meals do not disappoint. The service has always been pleasant when...I've been there. The owner came to our table to talk with us and greet us.More

It was fine for a group meal; palatable but not particularly distinguished. Service was good and friendly.
