PRISON ST PIZZA, Lahaina

My family and I were on vacation in Maui (in the Lahaina area) and were looking for a spot to get some pizza for dinner for our girls (5 & 7). Pizza is one of our go-to’s as we know that the kids will eat...it with little fuss. We checked their website and was excited to see that they served NY style pizza. I am from NYC and for those who don't know, NY style is pizza with a thin and crisp crust. I was pleasantly surprised that the cheese pizza that we got was a true NY style pizza. It was really good. So good that we ended up getting takeout from them a 2nd time for dinner. The staff was very nice and each time our order was ready exactly when they said. So to be clear, if you are used to thin crust pizza from chain pizza places, this is not the same. Most pizza places that claim they can do NY style pizza places don't get it right. These folks at Prison Street got it right.More

Delicious pizza!

Not directly off Front Street but easy to find. Delicious pizza and calzones. I ordered the serpico calzone and my husband ordered a pepperoni and sausage calzone. Our boys had a pepperoni and sausage pizza. All were hands down tasty. The crust has a yummy...flavor and cru cry, yet soft texture. Huge portions as well. Due to Covid, they only had 2 tables outside to sit at. Worth a visit.More

Below Average

Mediocre at best. We had the Veggie. We had to search for the specified toppings. After seven years on Maui and had never tried Prison St. Pizza, we were really looking forward to trying. Extremely disappointed. Somebody needs to open a decent Pizza restaurant in...Lahaina. Do not waste your money.More

Prison St. pizzeria

Best pizza, calzone & Philly cheese steak in Lahaina “Period”. Need I say more. It is hard to find a genuine pizza place in the Lahaina area, so Prison pizza is a true miracle!

Excellent thin crust pizza!

As a person who loves thin crust pizza, but enjoys the crust edges I'm a problem child in the area of pizza. Prison pizza has solved all my pizza desires!!!! The pizzas are stretched perfectly so that they are thin enough to not be ready,...but strong enough to not fold under the weight of pepperoni, olives, onions & sausage. The toppings are generous and the atmosphere is inviting. It can get busy so plan ahead as there isn't tons of seating. Free parking across the street. Prison. Street Pizza offers a reasonable & tasty night out.More

Whoa Maui

Didn’t expect to get pizza this good in Maui. Glad we walked back to Prison Street. Pizza was excellent! Quick service. Friendly atmosphere. Thin crispy crust. Cheesy! Fresh toppings.

Fast And Great Pizaa at your hotel

My Pizza was fantastic and much (better taste, cheaper and larger) than hotel's Bland Pizza that I had ordered previously. Delivery called me when he was close by and I met him at the lobby and received my pizza. You do not need cash; you...can add the tips to your credit card receipts. Fantastic Option.More

Fresh authentic pizza from Lahaina

My wife and I wanted to grab pizza one of the nights while we were in Maui and found this place online. The reviews and pictures are what brought us in here. We were really impressed with the quality of the pizza and the mellow...vibe it had while you walked in the small restaurant. The pizza was authentic and fresh, but wouldn’t recommend getting the chaser salad they offered because it was subpar. I wish we got to try some other pizza places while we there to see if it was the best spot in Lahaina, but was overall impressed with it and happy we ordered from them.More

Great pizza in spite of small size of restaurant.

The restaurant is quite small. But the service was friendly and prompt. The Old World pizza was very tasty.

Do not miss!! Great pizza!

Do not miss!! Just slightly off the beaten path and fantastic thin crust pizza. Beer and wine available but must be consumed inside, small amount of seating outside. Very small venue. Fantastic staff. We didn’t get a salad but they looked amazing!
