My wife and I visited Maui a few weeks before the pandemic hit the Islands. We stopped by Da Kitchen because of its high ranking on TripAdvisor. We shared the fish and chips and rings because I like fried fish. It was good, but as...my wife pointed out everything was fried. The entrees on the surrounding tables looked really good with the variety of their meals. It was a case of buyer’s remorse after we had gotten our order. I recommend Da Kitchen when you visit Kahului.More

Love the place, but it is now a COVID-19 casuality. The other store in Kihei, HI was closed last week.

heard about this place from friends so we decided to try. My sister ordered the Kalbi ribs, which were delicious. I ordered the tempura fish basket, which was good, but did not need to be served over a bowl of fries! too much. It was...a fun experience and I would definitely go back.More

Service was fine but food was terrible. Best way I could describe it. Food is pleasure and I can say I'm full but very unsatisfied.

Da kitchen has a great verity of food to offer weather you like(want to be) be adventurous or an ld classic hamburger they got you covered. Prime ( great) premium buttered steak, ono (tasty) kalua pig (salt smoke flavored roast pork) mops (great food so...good you mop it up) grilled fish and fried fish. They have it all even noodle dishes. And they have this local delicacy the fried spam musubi! Its like spam sushi tempura roll that is great and will change many a person view of spam that blue canned meat. Youll ask how do I know its all good. Well they have a great sampler kind of plate with fried fish, chicken katsu(cut fried chicken), teriyaki grilled beef fillets, bbq chicken! Rice and salad of choice I like the potato mac salad but they offer green salad to. My friend had the steak which was like 30$ and I traded some of my grindz( food) to try the steak it was so good. And we got a FRIED MUSUBI! Some sodas ! My other friend went for their chow fun I think it was. The other bro got the hawaiian sampler plate which had the kalua pig, laulau (a green leaf wrapped pork that is steamed), lomi salmon, and a few other classics. I have to say the servers were all very nice and helpful. And they were packed. There was like 5 of us the bill was to to much like 130+ dollars plus tip. They had some good desserts to but I didn't try any. I would go again. They had another of the franchise in kehei which I liked more because they had a better combo for the price plate and it wasn't as crowded when I went alone. Id go again gotta say it twice I loved the kalua pig! Sadly In the hunger I have no pictures. I like kehei 1 cuz I got kalua pig, chicken katsu, and teribeef but no fried mahi.More

We're so glad you and your friends popped in for some grindz with us! You definitely can't beat the kalua pig -- say it as many times as you want. Sounds like everything you tried on this visit was a hit, and we can't wait...More

The first place we ate after we landed in Maui. The food is really good. But the servings is quite large and reasonably priced. Bring a big appetite and you might not be able to finish a dish. I was looking forward to at least...take out food before we left. Sadly our flight was moved earlier so we had no time to drop by. Looking forward to dine in in the future we visit Maui again. For now, I’ll be happy to remember the good food they served.More

So we have been to Maui 4 times in the last 2 years. We discovered Da Kitchen in 2019 and are so glad that we found it. There are so many great meals to choose from but the few that we liked the most are...definitely worth the trip. The best thing I found was a special that is not on the menu often. If you are there and the Mochiko Chicken is available you should get it. The Katsu Moco is delicious and the serving size is huge. They have a Fish and Chips that is fantastic and again the serving size if huge. Something that stood out the most is the staff. We had different waitresses the first few times and they were pleasant and attentive to their tables. Our last stay we met a young man named Bryson and we instantly had our favorite waiter. He represents your restaurant so well with his knowledge of your menu and his interaction with customers. I would recommend Da Kitchen to any one looking for a casual dining experience with great food. We will return once the virus scare is over and Da Kitchen will be one of our first stops. Stay Safe and MahaloMore

Stopped by for lunch after going to Kaleakala summit. Large portions and good food. My hubby ordered the Kung Pao special but it was not spicy at all. It came with two scoops of rice and one scoop of a potato/macaroni salad. Lots of food....I ordered a garlic shrimp dish and it was delish with brown rice and lots of fresh veggies. We will stop here again next time we come to Maui.More

We were in Maui on the 1st week of March and didn't get to eat here till our 3rd day but what an experience. Food was great and big portions and so good. We had their featured poke 2 days in a row. Loved their...grilled mahi mahi and you will have to try their galbi! We enjoyed it so much we even ordered to go on our last day and ate it at the airport. Diners in the food court were all looking at us as soon as we opened our galbi and finally had to ask us where we got them. Told them..next time drop in when you fly in and before you fly out as they are quite close to the airport. They have another location but the one in Kahului is the original. Didn't get to try their desserts and the loco moco which I read is quite good. No matter, we'll be back next year. The guys who asked us at the airport said they will make sure to go visit the place next time. Aloha!More

The hours at both locations are 11am to 9pm. The Kahului store is closed Sundays and the Kihei store is open every day. I assume they will be open on the 4th.
