Worst Pho I ever had. If the had not told me it was Pho I would never have guessed! It was cold ,tasteless, and the noodles were not cooked, My wife had a sandwich and she said it was good! Go figure!!

We had dinner at LB Pho on April 28, 2021. Totally enjoyed it. A good find in beautiful downtown Staunton. The restaurant was clean, well lit and well tended by Caleb. I like the simple menu because it means the chef can concentrate on a...few good dishes. We had the big Pho (2- Beef and House)), very happy with the clean flavors of the broth which is the most important element of Pho. We also had the Noodle Salad (Pork) and Banh Mi (Pork) and of course Beer (local). The Pork in the Noodle Salad needs a bit more marinating but otherwise the dish is a good fresh meal. Banh Mi was tasty and held up well even the next day. Caleb was very polite and interested in our feedback. Service was good. Portion large and again, very good, healthy simple food. Bathroom is very clean. The restaurant Covid set up is good quality. Do go to this place if you can.More
Pho was cold. It was unsalted, so tasted like tepid dishwater. No birds eye chili’s, so they served pho with poblanos! We got the small pho, which was so horrible that we picked out the meat & noodles, 2 orders of summer rolls and non-alcoholic...drinks and it was over $40! This is ridiculous. We have gotten pho in many US cities, as well as several in Vietnam and Australia and this was the worst and most ridiculously priced of all of them. Not only have the owners missed the flavors of pho, the don’t understand the concept of pho being a quick, Cheap, anytime of day meal. Such a disappointment. We won’t be returning and recommend you take your $40 and pick up the staples at the Asian mkt. and you can have good pho that is hot and enough to feed friends as well.More
We enjoyed the great food here with giant portions that we should have shared instead of taking the pig out option.
We were too full from a late lunch to try the pho, but it looked amazing! We did get a few spring rolls and they were fabulous. Fresh ingredients made all the difference. You could really taste the mint.
I love everything about this place. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and when I received my pho with the wrong type of broth they were willing to fix it in an instant (but there was no need, as it was incredibly delicious anyways)....It also makes me happy to see the little pride flags within the restaurant; it’s so comforting to have an establishment in rural Virginia openly supporting the lgbt community. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!More
We've been hesitant to venture out because of the pandemic but we decided to walk downtown Staunton on a sleepy Tuesday morning. I say sleepy because most shops are closed on Tuesday right now. Laughing Bird Pho is the one restaurant I've really missed during...this time. So around 11:30 we ventured in and were warmly welcomed. We were thanked for wearing masks when we entered. Actually, all others who entered after us were wearing masks. Anyway, we ordered our usual large specials and chose our seats. Our table was sparkling clean and we spoke to the server when she brought our food about the sauces. She said they had been cleaned but cheerfully offered to clean them again if we wanted. She was just so friendly and wonderful. I must say we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and we definitely appreciated the cleanliness and welcome. We'll be returning soon. Total gem.More
Went there and a taller guy with dark hair was working making rude comments to his coworkers and not very friendly to our group. I love downtown Staunton and all the shops here and typically I like coming into laughing bird but this kid really...put me off to the place. Absolutely astonished by his behavior.More
So very tasty and fresh! I love coming here while visiting downtown Staunton. It is at a very cute spot, just across the street from a used book store.
I have never had Pho before, but I can assure you, I will be back! Friendly staff and very clean restaurant. Loved the large windows in the front with the high top tables. The food was delicious and came out quickly. Flavorful and filling.
I had never tried Pho before but let me tell you Pho is Pho Real Pho Me! So fresh and so wonderful. I got the small bowl and it filled me to the brim. Everything is so light and so full of flavor and amazing....It is a very homey little spot that will make you feel comfortable and welcome. Watching the staff make the noodles right there behind the bar was amazing. We also got the basil lemonade which matched perfectly with the blend of herbs in the Pho. Across from us was a little girl and I was excited to see how she reacted to the Pho cause some kids are so so with different foods. She drank it down like it was her milk left over from her morning cereal. This spot is somewhere to go when you want a quick comfort food. The staff are great with helping you order and helping you with whatever you need help with. If I were working in the area it could be dangerous cause I am certain I would be eating here pretty much everyday!More
This unassuming eatery offers an amazing meal, it will be my go-to lunch spot when in town. The steak section had a pleasant surprise, the beef came from Polyface Farms! The beef broth was unique, spectacular; I ate half the portion before trying the table...condiments: Spicy pepper, fish sauce, and sweet pepper. The raw vegetable additions were thinly sliced green pepper, bean sprouts, and purple basil. Fresh and flavorful. Another bonus, they will bring you an extra serving of rice noodles at no charge, but you have to waddle out under your own power!More
We were happy to find this restaurant open on Easter Sunday. I tried the Noodle Salad with veggies and my husband had a bowl of Pho with three meats. I found the salad so light and refreshing and my husband enhanced his pho with the...condiments on the table. Water was offered in real glasses- an elegant and environmentally friendly touch.More
A homemade broth with raw vegetables and tender meat, cooked long enough to be safe and not so long that it is tough: What's not to like?
We walked past this place about six times going up and down the street knocking around shops, before we decided to hop in for lunch. They have a very simple menu, so don't expect a ton of choices. At the same time there are just...enough options to keep it interesting. I had the bahn mi, and my wife had the pho. We shared an order of the summer rolls. Everything was excellent. The spices developed as you enjoyed the meal. The combinations of pickled vegetables and fresh, the sauces, and the meat was subtle and delightful. I highly recommend this little restaurant!More
