Came here for an early dinner with my boyfriend and had some lovely cocktails and food. Grace (our server) was polite and attentive and was super helpful. I have a dairy allergy and eating out is often stressful, she was very reassuring and easily made recommendations for dishes and checked with the kitchen to make sure my meal was going to be safe!
Would highly recommend this place for casual cocktails (that are also at a reasonable price) as well as food at all times of the day as they have a lunch menu and a main menu

My wife and I are fans of the Newport Slug & Lettuce and were disappointed when they stopped opening in the morning. Their veggie brunches were always excellent and they were sorely missed. Roll on a few weeks and, to our delight, we were able to order a delicious brunch with tea and coffee. Yes, it was after the usual brunch time but it was very enjoyable nonetheless. The icing on the cake was that we were served by our two favourite members of staff, Sarah and Sasha. All in all, it was a great experience and one we hope to repeat again soon.

The kitchen team do an amazing job! I've had food on a few occasions and have never been disappointed, it's always delicious and served with a smile by the FOH team 😁
The service has to be the best on the Isle of Wight! They are always so welcoming and friendly, it's more than just a job for them, they take real pride.
Recently have had a few new faces added to the team and I can see that they are going to be great additions, keep up the amazing work ❤️

Good value food with a wide range of choices puts other more expensive outlets to shame. Two for one cocktails are a winner. Nice decor and surroundings but above all the staff are first class, always friendly and helpful no matter who is on shift. Extra load shout out to Sasha, Sarah and Cam!!!

What a fantastic team who looked after us so beautifully today with cheery smiles and made us feel welcome & relaxed throughout. The 5 course Christmas menu was outstanding, every single thing was beautifully cooked and served.
Great atmosphere and staff on point would definately recommend to everyone!

We and Friends hired a booth for 14 ppl. But quickly noticed that room was limited, Kayleigh couldn’t step
In quick enough to move us tables to accommodate us further.
The meals came out prompt and Kayleigh was also happy to offer the card payment method to the table to keep the fun flowing!
To make things even sweeter Kayleigh also gave a 1-1 on mock tail making which was delightful.
The birthday cake came out with additional Pyrotechnics which really left everyone in a great mood.
To top things off. Me as a 37 year old and has specific dietary requirements was also allowed to order something from the childrens menu to facilitate me.
The service was top tier from start to finish and I couldn’t recommend them any higher.
Kayleigh and the team are a valuable asset to this fine establishment. And I will certainly

We went because I really wanted to try the festive menu. I’ve never had festive macaroni cheese before! It had pigs in blankets, bbq sauce and stuffing on top. It was so good! We also had 2-4-1 mocktails, again so delicious! The desserts were great value at £3.49 each, although mine was still a bit frozen. Staff were very apologetic for keeping us waiting at the bar. This is our 3rd time here and there will certainly be a 4th!

Went into to the Slug and Lettuce iow. The place was clean and had a relaxing atmosphere. We were able to choose our food as the menu was well set out. Staff were friendly and attentive. Particularly Sasha who served us and Can who took our food out to us. Cooking time was quick and we had no problems with either servicer or the food.
Will happily come again.

Absolutely flawless service this evening from Carla & Rhys. Arrived with my partner and toddler daughter to a clean and very nicely decorated restaurant. We were greeted by Carla with such warmth and she explained the menu as well as ordering process. The food was tasty, arrived quickly and the kids menu was perfect in size and amount. My thanks to Carla for her effort tonight and I hope this is conveyed to her. It’s not often enough that good service is recognised but she was brilliant - thank you so much!

This was our first time in a Slug and Lettuce and we didn't really know what to expect. We swerved the Hogshead nearby as it was busy and noisy and found ourselves in here on a Tuesday night. We were pleased to find a good range of vegan and vegetarian dishes at reasonable prices and the portions were of a satisfying size. The desserts were really lovely too and there was a wide range of soft and alcoholic drinks. Prompt, friendly service from Lorna and Com and a soundtrack that had us bouncing, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would recommend this place.

our 1st ever Christmas lunch out out and we loved it. prosecco on arrival beautiful starters prawn and crayfish cocktail husband had the baked cheese. we both enjoyed the braised beef with all the trimmings. dessert were cherry bakewell cheesecake and pornstar martini ice cream delicious. obviously a couple of proseccos and a cocktail. finished with coffee and mince pie. service excellent atmosphere was fantastic.

Just had lunch here for the first time. We ordered on the app which was really easy to do. Drinks and food came out quickly and the food was nice, I'd recommend the bacon cheese burger. Sarah and Sasha was very welcoming and the service was spot on. We will definitely be coming back!

We came here for my Nana’s birthday and was served by cam and ria they were absolutely amazing and such a lovely experience being served by them. They made my Nan feel so special by giving her Prosecco and with her dessert wrote happy birthday they honestly deserve such praise for this. Thank you so much!!! Also the food was flawless and delicious!

Great Christmas team serving us wonderfully fresh and hot food. Atmosphere was fantastic not too loud like being in the living room with great background music. Food was delicious traditional Christmas with additional pigs in blankets.

We went on a Monday night so it was a bit quiet. I had the mushroom and halloumi burger with fries and a side salad. All good quality. We also enjoyed the taste and share bread with melted cheese. All good value. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would go back.
