We went to La Costa on the last night of our holiday, expecting great things from reviews and pictures we’d seen. We arrived at 7:30 and there was no one else in the restaurant... it looked like the outside section of a nightclub. Tables weren’t...set and it looked nothing like the pictures. As a few more people arrived the atmosphere got slightly better but the staff appeared scatty and distant- none of them wore their masks properly... not that this bothered us greatly but they clearly didn’t care all that much. I ordered a margarita which was hugely disappointing- wasn’t impressed with the cocktails at all. We ordered the tuna and special ‘La Costa’ burger for mains. I honestly wouldn’t recommend either - they were both overpriced and very small portions. I always get a bad feeling for a place when they’re stingy with how many chips they give you (and when they’ve clearly been frozen). We ordered bread to start with olives, the same bread we got with the burger... both of which looked like they we’re frozen rolls heated up in the microwave- tasted horrible. I don’t sense that La Costa take much pride in what they serve... feels such a shame because of the gorgeous location. Until there are some serious menu quality changes, we won’t be coming back here and wouldn’t recommend it.More

What an absolute gem of a find. Situated down the bottom of a street you may miss it,but try not to. Setting is beautiful. Staff were so attentive and friendly. There was an amazing band playing the night we went. Lots of Bob Marley. Such...relaxed and chilled atmosphere. Seems to be where the Locals go. Cant rate this place enough. Food was great, atmosphere was great, service was great. Only disappointed was that we didnt find ot earlier!! A definate go to !!More

So it’s hidden away in a beautiful spot, the service is great, the food lovely and staff are amazing. My only small complaint is, as it’s a small restaurant you can really tell people smoking around you and that does spoil it a little

Absolutely amazing setting and customer service. We had the most amazing meal in this romantic setting, that overlooked the cove. The vegetarian burger was utterly outstanding and the cocktails were amazing. Incredibly friendly hosts and they had no trouble booking us a table 1 hour...before.. placing us in the most amazing spot. I wouldn’t only recommend the food here but I’d recommend the experience. The view alone is well worth a visit!More

The view is to die for - absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere was fantastic. The music was funky and we did have a good time. Too bad that the food was not good. We had veal for two. The meat was chewy and the vegetables...were cold... Maybe burger, tapas, or only some drinks the next time...More

We visited twice over the week we were in Portocolom. Located hidden away - it is worth the hunt to find it (down a side street) as it is the perfect location, overlooking a stunning cove. Drinks were reasonably priced - as was the food...- Cocktails around Euro 7 Cava Sangria - Euro 20 for 1 litre Mahou 33cl - Euro 3 not too bad at all !!!. Food - 2 Nights - 1 Superb - 1 Not the Best Night one - Bread + Alioli / Patatas Bravas / Tuna Steak / Roasted Veg / Chicken / Steak Bill was a reasonable Euro 120 - Food was amazing & Great Service Night 2 - Similar to night one but it must have been a different chef - Tuna was far from ideal and Patatas Bravas were undercooked. This was disappointing as it was our last night in Portocolom. Overall - we will be back but will ask for food to be cooked to our preferences (ie like Night 1)More

Hidden gem and a must visit! Menu is limited but the quality of the food is unreal! Lamb burger + goats cheese was probably the best burger I’ve ever eaten. Sangria is lovely but pricey. Views are stunning especially at sun set. Waitresses very friendly!
