Best tapas we got on our week long vacation in Cala D'or We got the changed tapas which was a whole plate for only 11 euros per person. There was more than enough and it tasted really good. There were pomegranates and nuggets that were a success for the kids

We walked past this lovely place a couple of times and was always full so thought we would give it a go. So please we did as ended up going back a couple more times during our holiday. 1st visit: we were seated quickly and our drinks order taken which we had coke zero and a white wine and the waiter left us to look through the menu, There is so much to choose from but we picked: croquettes, Calamari, Goulash, Camembert bites and a dish of potato/salami and eggs. They were all so nice and the service was great, This meal came to 44.95 Euros, Great value for money and tasty. 2nd visit: Went a little over the top as knew it was our last night and wanted to try different dishes. Again the service was great and friendly and we were seated with no fuss, We chose for this one: Goulash, Veg with eggs, Chorizo with eggs, Calamari, Garlic Mushrooms and Spanish omelette with 2 white wine and a brandy and diet coke and all only came to 59.90 Euros, great value for money and the best place we ate all holiday. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We had previously visited here on visits to Cala D’or to see Tony who we have known from previous visits to bars/restaurants in Cala D’or. Tony makes sure customers are always happy and works really hard and efficiently serving customers with their drinks and food. At times he is really busy on front of house as he is working alone, but he still provides top service and a warm welcome to customers, especially at times as many people arrive at the same time. Thank you to the ladies in the kitchen as well as we both had the special mixed tapas on a couple of occasions and it was excellent value and tasted very good. I had the special salmon fillet one night and have to say it is the best I’ve ever had, a generous portion and cooked to perfection. The drinks are reasonably priced and good quality, and therefore would highly recommend a visit to this lovely little tapas bar. Here’s to next year, and thank you for contributing to our lovely holiday!

We visited this place for a quick lunch, we got mixed tapas plater of 7 items for 11:95 euros with a few extras and drinks for a total of 35 euros for 4 of us, an absolute bargain price. The service was really good, my son has a peanut allergy, and the waiter checked with the chef all the ingredients used and was really helpful. The tapas were medium to good.

Visited yesterday and was warmly welcomed , after ordering a pint of San Miguel , which came ice cold , decided to try the mixed tapas from the specials board for €11:95 . Saw in another earlier post that you could change the anchovies for something else , which I did . Wow , the quality and quantity of the tapas was superb , thoroughly recommend you try it but only if you're hungry lol . Other dishes that were coming out from the kitchen looked equally delicious .

Tipy Tapa Restaurant is a typical tapas restaurant with a terrace and is located on a narrow one-way street framed by trees on both sides. Traffic is moderate at lunchtime and due to the narrow road the cars drive quite slowly. The staff spoke German and was very friendly. We ordered 1/2 l Sangria Cava (with cava sparkling wine) 1 Cola 2 x salad with goat cheese and strawberries 1 x 6 padron peppers 1 x Chipirones 1 x nachos with cheese and guacamole 1 x Pa amb Olis (bread with tomatoes and olive oil) and Mallorcan cheese The pot of sangria contained a few pieces of fruit, even more ice cubes, tasted very sweet but in no way like cava sparkling wine. On request it was confirmed that the Sangria contains cava. However, criticism that it was not to be tasted was received. The nachos were a bit covered with melted cheese and came with a tiny bowl of guacamole. The cheese stuck to a few nachos and cooled very quickly. Tastewise, hardly any of it was noticeable. The guacamole was far too little to come to the fore in taste. Disappointing. The chipirones were fine, the salad was fine and there was nothing wrong with the pa amb olis. All together cost 69,55€ Not cheap, but (apart from the sangria and nachos) OK.

Would not recommend having too high expectations for this tapas tourist place. However, the prices are very small and the food is mediocre. For the tapas platter, we got a small mixed salad, onion rings, padron, deep-fried fish, bread with chorizo, croquettes, hot wings and potatoes. In the attached picture you can see all the food. Despite the busyness, the service was ok and the food came relatively quickly.

Always pop into Tipy Tapa for a late afternoon cold beer and Tapas snack. Never disappointing, it's a small place with a few tables on the street and open terrace. The food is excellent, especially the dates in bacon and garlic prawns. Well known serving staff have moved to other larger restaurants but the mamas still cook and it's like a prep place for fresh food where locals often eat or pop in. Would highly recommend if your strolling by...

Attracted by beers that are much cheaper than those around us (€2.8 per pint), we also take an assortment of tapas which is also reasonably priced. The beer is good. The tapas plate was not quite to our taste but met the description on the menu. It wasn't the best holiday aperitif, but it was far from catastrophic

The build up of our holiday this was the restaurant we where most looking forward to visiting after reading reviews on here and looking at pictures. But I was very underwhelmed by our visit here. Don’t get me wrong the food was really lovely but I thought it was a little expensive in comparison to the competition down the road. Also there was just no atmosphere and we found the staff a little unfriendly also in comparison to other restaurants. Our visit here just left me disappointed (sorry)

A regular stop during our stay from a quick drink to dinner, nothing was too much bother. Great value food and drinks. Mixed tapas deal (on wooden boards) is superb value at under €12. Other tapas were additional but were reasonably priced. Gambas Pil Pil and ice cold San Miguel were notable highlights! Worth a visit.

We went here after a long and hot morning in the sun. We didn't understand too much about the culture of tapas, but our host walked us through it. What a feast. And at very reasonable prices as well. We had a vegetarian with us and our host sorted it out so that there was sufficient food to make everyone happy - and everyone was happy. Our table was full of food. And to be honest it probably cost us about 60% of the price of a mainstream tapas restaurant down the road; and the food was better.

Stopped by this place for a bit of lunch and it was great. We had the 11 euros daily special tapas x 2 between the 4 of us (2 adults/2 children) and it was plenty and really tasty. Throw in a few pints of San Miguel at under 3 euros each and you can’t go wrong. Staff were great too.

Visited on the basis of previous good reviews but the food is absolutely awful. Ordered a selection of tapas one of which was chilli nachos a basic that did didn’t have. Had our food within 7/8mins which raised alarm bells and soon realised it was basically re heated Frozen food. Absolutely shocking standard and expensive for the privilege.
