I visited varr with some of my freinds and just feel wow from the entrance to Restaurant decor and service , the unique concept their is they serve Thalis from different part of india and all are purely veg and they named all dishes as prasadam. While you go for meal there they serve yachman to wash your hands and serve panchamrit before the meal, than they start serving the thali course wise.
Staff attitude is very good and ready to serve always.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Varr. This is an exceptional concept and executed very well. The restaurant has lovely ambiance with soothing temple music, authentic kaansa cutlery and very well dressed servers.
The Aachmanam ritual in the beginning set the tone for an authentic temple experience. And the food was absolutely lip smacking.
We had the Himalayan bhog thali which had elements of food from Kedarnath, Badrinath, Vaishno Devi, etc.). All items in the menu were very well prepared and each one tasted even better than the previous. It is difficult to decide which one was my favorite but some dishes that stood out were
1.) Dhuaa chaas which was a sizzling buttermilk drink with a smoky flavor.
2.) The lotus stem tikki (Nadru Kebab) was so soft and tasty
3.) The Gahat fanu (gram curry dish) was also really very flavorful.
4.) The Panjiri laddos were the perfect end our gourmet experience
The staff was very courteous and attended very well to all our requests.
We will definitely come back here during our next visit to Rishikesh.

I visited two days back Varr Restaurant in Rishikesh and was amazed to see the delightful decor, how much pains have been taken to incorporate decor items which one finds in temples like musical instruments, etc. This goes with the theme of the food served here - thali having 22 dishes or more, each dish inspired from the temples of India, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. The menu is different for every thali, I had Utsav and Anandam Bhog Thali and I relished every dish. Even pickles and starters are different for every themed thali. Dining starts with a ritual of washing hands and then charnamrat is served at the table. Smoky butter milk is the signature beverage here, not to be missed. I also loved Chana dal kitchdi with dollops of pure ghee. Multi grain Bejar ki roti and Ragi idli is worth trying. Mohan Thal, Lord Krishna 's favorite sweet is also served. In Naivedyam Thali, you will get to taste delicacy Pallad, Uttarakhand popular drink. From kitchens of Jagannath temple, there is an inspired dish, Enduri - rice dumplings wrapped in Banana leaf served with Dalma. You need to partake this kind of Bhog yourself to believe it. No onion, no garlic. Amazing food. Outstanding concept. Visit Rishikesh to taste the food at Varr. Executive Chef, Deepak Bhatt and FnB Head, Saurabh personally explained the dishes and made my dining experience special. They are seen in the picture I have put up here.

VARR, Temple Food of India, the name itself is so intriguing. Its unique offering of food from Temples across India sets it apart from the rest. The impeccable hospitality wins you over as you enter the restaurant. It is well lit, tables spaced out and very well laid.
The Bhog of the Day when we visited was “ Brij Bhoomi Ka Prasad”, this delectable Thali was a perfect assortment of delicious dishes, beautifully cooked and well presented. The highlight of our dining experience was the smoked Chaas , it had a smoking coal element and was very refreshing. The hymns playing in the background added to the ambience. Their service staff was very courteous and served us generously, the servings were spaced out and not meant to rush a guest.
It was indeed a great experience and we are surely coming back for more !!

Food from temples across India. What a concept in a predominantly vegetarian destination of Rishikesh. These guys have taken what can potentially be a limitation and created a great offering around it. Enjoyed every bit of the prasad based thali with dishes from various regions of the country. For sure its a 'must try' when visiting rishikesh/haridwar.

I had an opportunity to have dinner at the newly launched restaurant Varr by Holywaters, Ganga Kinare while I was traveling to Rishikish. Its an interesting concept where one gets to taste the food of Indian Temples. Every dish is taken from specific temples, so one gets to taste dahi pakode, dhuan chachh, paneer tamatar, rassewali kala chana, khichdi, aalu badi among the many delicious dishes they serve. Interestingly they begin by serving the panchamrit. They have a set of four menu which changes every day.
The restaurant has a lively decor. If you are traveling to Rishikesh it's an experience that you will enjoy.
They are also particular about the about the covid safety protocols with sanitiser at the entrance plus placed on every table
Priced at around Rs 600 it value for money absolutely, its unlimited and you can have as much as you want

Dinner at Varr was flavorful and mouthwatering delicious. Their menu lists the various items that will be served that evening. The evening we ate, the theme was temple food from various parts of india. It is a list of preselected items that you will taste and can always order more of if you like. The food is served on a brass plate I believe. You can't go wrong with this place. Simply the yummiest vegetarian restaurant in Rishikesh. Thank you Ajay and Vinay!

We were staying at Holywater and someone suggested us to try the Thali at Varr, their in-house restaurant. We decided to give it a shot, and it left us full and satisfied. The concept of thali was intriguing, with dishes in accordance with the food served at temples across India. The staff was extremely polite and courteous and described each dish along with the origin. Chef Amit Rayal and F&B manager Saurabh gave us very personalized attention and went out of their way to ensure we had a lovely dinner. A must visit place.

Being a vaishnav vegetarian has been a challenge when wanted to eat food without onion and garlic. The only option was to eat at iskon temple outlets.
Finally VARR came out to be dream come true wherein having prasad of temple in a fine dine experience in city like Rishikesh.
Highly Recommended to all my vasihnav brother and sister that this is must try out place. The Rajbhog thali is unqiue in all way. What a way to start your meal with kahnaji panachamrit followed by kanaji favourite dhua chaas. Sitting in Rishikesh got feeling of being at Braj, with Radhaji favourite dish arbi- they called it Barsane with arbi and ending the meal with Khichdi prasad and sweets. Found some intresting fact about how our humble golgappa chat find its origin from Temple and use to be kanhaji snacking dish.
The menu not only bring dishes from Braj also from various other temple and region across India
The staff is great explaing and annoucing each element on the plate and how they are connected with temple kitchen.
My heartfelt congratulation to entire team who thought through this unique concept

I recently visited with my friends at Varr Rishikesh. For the first time ever we were welcomed with Panchamrit in an Indian restaurant, which in itself gives a great feel about the place. Their refreshing Dhua Chaas is a must try. Such a holy food experience. Hats off for all the creativity and food that just makes you go back to this place again and again. The price you pay for all this variety of food and such amazing ambience is super reasonable. Must visit.
