Beautiful Restaurant

The multi cuisine resturant is worth the visit. Their breakfast spread includes Indian Halwai consisting variety of Indian Sweets is interesting. Also large spread fit for king. Even their 3 coure Thali (Rs 850/-) is great and enough for two pax, worth trying. No doubt their buffet dinners are excellent with huge variety of dishes (priced @ Rs 885/-) and live jalebi / Malpua counter. All staff are extremely friendly and courteous and go out of their way to make your dining experience memorable with live flute performance

I visit Jal and Jalebi several times each year. I have been visiting since 1996 and have written serial reviews. I recently visited for the first time in 2020. I received a renewed menu with some very interesting changes. I started my lunch with a delicious non-alcoholic cocktail of watermelon juice and jalapeño pepper served in a glass with a salted rim. The sweetness of the watermelon was nicely balanced by a mild sizzle from the pepper. They have also taken the conventional paneer tikka starter and offer a trio of paneer cubes marinated in three different sauces before being roasted. There is also a delicious combination starter with an array tandoor roasted specialities. My old favorite peanut chaat was as delicious as ever. Preparation is always at a high level here and the chance to have a lunch by the Ganga on a sunny afternoon is a joy. Service is kind, food comes a little slowly, but this generally reflects careful preparation. Come here to dine, not to gobble and go. The servers don’t tend to watch the room and get wrapped up in their present tasks. It can be a little hard to get their attention. But I can wave a flag. It’s a great place to dine, especially, given the view, at lunch.

Pathetic experience

Food was below average. We ordered white sauce pasta which was so blend and tasteless. Fries and cheese balls platter had only 1 cheese ball in it. Plus the staff was highly arrogant and rude. There was a guy named SUMER who was initially serving our table, we tried to give him the feedback regarding the pasta so he started arguing with us that pasta is made without salt. He was so egoistic that when we complained to the chef there (as the manager was not there) he went to the kitchen and starting throwing utensils and abusing which could be heard in the whole restaurant. Other food items were also served cold. We had a pathetic time there and our night was totally spoiled.

Please allow us once again to host you and your family so that you can carry a much better experience in terms of hospitality from our side. And also the restaurant is always under a duty to ensure their customers are well served. Therefore, kindly accept our wholeheartedly apologies from our side . The steward named by you has now been released on disciplinary grounds and we have taken all steps to ensure that such a lapse in guest experience and below average interaction never ever happens again. Our entire organization is bereaved because of your words and the overall mood of such a hard working team is low because of the actions of one person. We love hosting our guests and are really sorry that we came up short in matching up to your expectations in a big way. The blame is totally ours and we take full ownership of the same. We will all learn from this and hope that you can accept our sincere apology and give us another chance to show you what we are actually capable of in terms of hospitality. Worst service

We visited here yesterday for lunch and ordered 2 thaali, only 1 or 2 item was good and lassi was also good but the worst part was the staff they don't even care about the customer they offered water only once, even asking for multiple time for water they didn't serve sp we have to drink the lassi instead of water. We asked them for extra bread there was no one,one of my friend go to staff but they didn't respond. After ruining our day we asked for bill but they are lacking here also, didn't get the bill after waiting for 5-10min we called the manager but he was busy in having the food from last 30min.we asked for manager 2.3 times but no response it seems like they were not paying attention towards their customers,even in small restaurant they ask multiple time if anything needed. But here the worst service ,the food was not also good, not so co-operative staff. I recommend if you are planning to visit here please reconsider another place.

Fantastic food, served with a smile!

The food at Jal and Jalebi is the best vegetarian food around. From the north indian dal makhani, to the oriental apple somtam salad ... everything is finger licking good. We especially enjoyed their mouth watering jalebi stack with rabri and the crumb fried mushroom duplex. The cherry on the cake is the behaviour of the staff and the impeccable presentation of the food. All dals are served in cute copper cookers, with a delightful smile, that definitely enhance the overall dining experience. The staff is super attentive and courteous. For all this and more, they have customers for life!

Great food lovely ambience

My first visit to the place after corona. Good hygiene level maintained. This is one of the top restaurants of rishikesh. We had a lovely time here. Less order is sufficient here as their portion quality is large. We ordered indian thali and there were loads of different items in that. The style to serve soup and starter were great and we requested to make dishes less spicy and those were on spot as requested. Had a great time.

Had visited J&J for dinner, the ambience and food were outstanding. The service team especially Ajay and Akriti were knowledgeable, helpful and went out of their way to ensure that we really enjoyed our meal. A big thumbs up to the whole team. The flute playing by Mr. Rajesh added just the right touch to make it a relaxed evening.

10th Anniversary stay at Ganga Kinare Rishikesh...

It was an amazing Stay at Ganga kinare Rishikesh... My stay was extremely satisfied. Great people and service. I have stayed here for 2 days and everything was great. Excellent service,Friendly staff all round. Food was really great, Chef Mr. Deepak was serving great food and trying to understand what we need and serving delicious food. Breakfast buffet was also very good and tasty almost have various local and international cuisines. Special thanks to Mr. Saurabh and team for superb service.He was a very special one for me, he helped me and my family at all times and was very energetic and polite from morning to evening, his way of working is kind of unique👍. I wanna give special mention to front staff as well I forgetting her name...She was available to help us out with any issues. The room were neat and have all basic amenities...I Enjoyed my stay. Must visit if in Rishikesh

It is the place to be if you wanna enjoy panoramic view of the river Ganga while having some super delicious food. The ambiance was a (4/5), classy interior, indoor & outdoor comfortable seating and soothing ambiance. They serve veg food only and perfect for family gatherings and they have a lot of options to choose from. Best part is they serve complimentary Jalebi rabri’s to every guest which is super delicious. The panoramic view is worth visiting this restaurant. The quality & quantity of food was amazing. The staff was attentive and the service was also fine. Not to miss the staff was taking proper care of sanitisation and had sanitisers placed on every table. Must visit if in Rishikesh! Happy Eating Folks!

Great experience!

It was an amazing experience dining at Jal & Jalebi. The food is absolutely delicious and the variety they serve is great. We opted for buffet breakfast, they had so many dishes to serve and the staff is very courteous. Spl mention to Mr. Saurabh and Mr. Deepak for making it much more memorable for my family. On a holiday of 7 days this was the only who full-filled my taste expectations and the food was subtle in taste with mixture of balanced. Vinay was so humble and polite, his experience said alot while he was collecting our plate and giving us service and manager saurav too made sure that we are enjoying our time. You must visit once!

Exceptional food quality along

Exceptional food quality along with a great view . Chef Deepak personally took charge in handling the food and did a pretty good job and Saurabh was of great assistance regarding the food as well as answering my questions about near whereabouts and other attractions. Would really suggest someone to have a meal while visiting Rishikesh . Exceptional.

Amazing food and service

Fabulous stay and excellent dining

We stayed on this property in Upsana suite en route to our Chardham Yatra, A very well maintained property and the staff are very courteous and welcoming. Our stay included breakfast and dinner and we had a number of delicious dishes to choose. Jal Jalebi had South, and North Indian dishes and also a number of continental dishes, The buffet was well organized and the food was yummy. Evening Tea and snacks were offered in the lawn garden which energized the day's tiredness as we enjoyed the pleasant breeze of Ma Ganga. Highly recommended to stay if you are in Rishikesh with dinner must at the Jal Jalebi restaurant. Special Thanks to Mr.Soben Rawat for making our check-in process seamless and also thanks to Vishaka and all the staff from Jal-Jalebi restaurant.
