We have lunch here now and again. It’s always consistent. Their lunch specials are just enough and come with potatoes and veggies. Today, my husband had a flank steak lunch special. It was so tender and tasty!!He ordered garlic mashed and collards to go with...it. I had fish and chips, but opted for the garlic mashed and the butter beans. Their 2.99 sangria is a great way to begin a lazy lunch. The service is always good and quick. Not pricy, great value.More
We’ve driven by this place for decades. Tonight was the first visit and we plan to make it a regular. They apparently had an unexpected rush while we were there, but the tables were still half empty and the service never suffered, so you’d have...no idea they were in the weeds. The owner (I assume) was actively managing arrivals and seatings even as he worked in the kitchen. It was an amazing level of professionalism. The restaurant was attractive, intimate, and clean. The service was absolutely top notch. The food was generous and all well prepared. We had four courses plus a bottle and a half of wine and the bill came to $100, including a 25% tip. They clearly don’t need our review to bring in business, but they sure deserve it. Highlights were the chicken wings, fried pork chops, fresh Rockfish, and collard greens. Very impressive.More
We go to Yesterday’s regularly. The food and service are always of the highest quality. Questions are quickly answered by staff and/or proprietors.
Culture shock coming from the big city. Lunch specials that we had were Grandma's meatloaf for 8$ and rockfish for $11. Both were very good. Add in a $3 bloody Mary and that was a good meal. Each special came with bread, potato and veggie...of your choice. Wish we had room for the pies, they sounded great. Friendly and attentive staff even though we sat outside.More
Our first visit to this part of the country and we stopped for supper at Yesterday's Restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised with a great meal and outstanding service. The menu had a nice variety to select from and the prices were reasonable. If you would...like a home cooked meal this is the place for you. These restaurants that cook home cooked food/soul food restaurants are becoming hard to find. We will be returning!More

Husband and I stopped at Yesterday’s for lunch while on a cross- country road trip. Husband ordered a hamburger which was very basic and he deemed to be “OK”. I ordered a BLT on dark toast with bacon very well done and extra tomato. The...“toast” had no color, the cold bacon cold was not even crisp, there was one leaf of lettuce and one slice of tomato for the whole sandwich. The waiter asked if he could bring darker toast which he did… one slice cut in half rather than two slices for the sandwich. After removing uncooked fat from the bacon I placed half of what remained on each half piece of toast, then half of the tomato slice and topped the “sandwich” halves with half a leaf of lettuce. As I was holding the second half the water asked if I enjoyed my BLT. Anxious to continue our journey, I just smiled. The experience was then marred even further by a visit to the ladies restroom. I am fully ADA dependent. Two narrow stalks with no grab bars. To his embarrassment, I had to use my cell phone to ask my husband to come to my aid.More
After trying Angelo's and a couple of restaurants in Colonial Beach we decided to try this little place - absolutely amazing! The service was excellent, the food was prepared perfectly, and the variety was perfect for the adults and the teenagers. We ended up eating...there 3 times during our week stay. On the last day my steak was a little overcooked and they replaced it quickly and added shrimp and a dessert - who does that anymore? We can't wait to head back to NNK and stop in again!More
Such a perfect restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating. We enjoyed crab cake, blackened fish, and fish and chips. The food was seasoned and prepared perfectly. The server was hilarious and made our visit truly unforgettable.
The food was good. The oysters were fried perfectly. The steaks were a bit pricely but they had many other lower priced options on the menu. They steaks were large and thin but cooked nicely. Unfortunately the dessert, chocolate pie, was frozen and had a...freezer burnt after taste. Otherwise we ate everything and enjoyed it.More
We love Yesterday's!! The food is always good, although we miss the fried green bean appetizer, which they've been out of for months, now. One of the most important things to note is the fact that they keep the restrooms, mens and ladies, immaculately spotless!!...It is very reassuring to know they are being vigilant about cleanliness there, since I feel they are careful about it elsewhere, too. Friendly, personal service, reasonable prices, and good food round out the package, making this one of our top 3 favorite places to dine.More
Our church seniors visited Yesterday's May 12, 2021. The food was outstanding and the Maitre' d was superior. We will return.
We have been to this place a couple of times on camping trips and it has always been amazing. However if anything can be better then the food last night it was the service. 1st time here and was well above our expectations. Everyone was professional and very courteous. The BBQ Shrimp was Amazing, the steaks were prepared exactly to our liking with an amazing taste that you rarely get these days. The sides were also one of the...stars of the show. Baked potato, onion rings, corn fritter, and Lima beans were to die for. Everything was so flavorful it really blew us away. This now our favorite spot when we are down there. Really looking forward to our next meal there. Please, keep up the good work. 💖More
We found Yesterday's while we were out for a long drive (one hour from where we live). The food and service was so good that we decided to make that drive on two more occasions to specifically go to Yesterday's. Each experience measured up to...our first one and we will keep coming back. Food is very reasonably priced and professional made. Service is superb!More
