Oh so Good Eats

In Fairfax for business. Went to Ozzie’s Good Eats for the first time. Oh so good! First our server, Karl did an amazing job describing the specials, we told him we had never been before. He then proceeded to give us his top recommendations and he was spot on. I had the salmon, and it was oh sooooo delicious. The potatoes and spinach that went with them were also wonderful. My business partner had the grouper special and she was as happy as I was. Karl paced everything just perfectly, from our drinks and bread all the way thto ought dessert. Oh, and speaking of dessert. When we had finished eating our dinner, he said, “Since it is your first time here at Ozzie’s, I would like to buy you dessert.” Wow, a restaurant who empowers their wait staff to truly make the evening memorable for their customers. Amazing! Karl told us about the desserts and when we said we really liked chocolate, he said, we should definitely try the homemade chocolate waffle with vanilla ice cream. I must say, he was so right. From the top notch food, to the amazing wait staff, I cannot wait until I am back in Fairfax so I can eat at Ozzie’s again!

Prompt Seating!

While out running errands in Fairfax late Saturday afternoon,my husband and I decided to find a spot for dinner before heading home. A bit challenging with limited seating due to COVID restrictions. Most restaurants in the area direct patrons to make online reservations via the Resy app. While there were 1+ hour wait times for most, we were able to reserve a high top table for 2 indoors at Ozzies within 15 mins. Upon arrival, we were immediately seated in the bar area, which was fine for us. After months of cooking, carry out and delivery, it was nice to dine out, even with distancing and mask requirements in place. We scanned the QR card to view the menu on our phones then placed our order. Service was efficient and friendly and all servers wore face masks. Ozzie rolls were such a tasty indulgence with the honey butter that we requested a second (served 4 per order). My salmon fillet had a fabulous smoky grilled flavor, complemented by mashed potatoes and nicely seasoned spinach. Hubby’s crab cakes were loaded with crab meat and served with fries and a delicious slaw. Glad we searched and found this spot instead of settling for fast food!

We were traveling out of town and picked this place randomly based on asking Siri for food options near us. The restaurant was busy, but our wait was short. They have a good team attitude, because someone other than our waiter took our drink orders because he was busy. The manager and staff did a great job rectifying our two unfortunate events that occurred. The waitress who took our order didn't write anything down and one of our orders came out incorrectly. The other order had a hair in it. Clearly, not their best day, but they handled it and we were happy with our meals. The portions were generous and the spicy fried chicken in the Chicken and Waffles dish were some of the best we have ever had. You could tell it is frequented by many loyal, regular patrons. We would go back.

Had a gift card to use so decided to try Ozzies on a Monday night. Nice ambiance and only using every other table. However, restaurant wants you to scan for their menu. I don’t want to look at a menu on my phone when I am going to a nice restaurant. Hostess did bring us paper menus but seem put out by it. The food was exceptional. We had Hanger steaks and crab cakes. But they charge for the bread, Ozzies rolls, and the price for a glass of wine was ridiculous (15 and 12 dollars). I could have bought the whole bottle for that price. Dinner for three with two glasses of wine, one beer, Ozzie rolls, 2 hangar steaks, 1 crab cakes and tiramisu came to $127 dollars. How do normal people afford this? I know that restaurants are hurting but to jack up wine prices and charge for bread is ridiculous. We barely saw our waitress after ordering. She didn’t even offer to box the left over rolls we paid for.

Experience greatly exceeded expectations

Ozzie’s website and online menu doesn’t do justice to how wonderful this restaurant is! It’s location is easily accessible and the interior sets a great tone. It’s both a comfortable setting while also upscale in appearance, with customers ranging from groups having dinner after work in Nova and DC to families and friends. Those with very young children will not see many options, but can still find something. The menu itself has much to offer. Diverse selection of appetizers and entrees to suit every pallet without offering an overwhelming selection that prevents so many other restaurants from achieving perfection. The drinks, appetizers and entrees were all perfect. Our waiter, Noel, was polite, professional, informative and attentive without being intrusive. Everything we ordered came to us without waiting yet we never felt rushed. The food was prepared perfectly and with excellent flavor and quality. We will definitely be back, and highly recommend this fantastic restaurant!

Excellent Great American Restaurant

Nice ambience. Good service. Comfortable seating. Great selection of wine and tap beer. Wide ranging menu includes fav lobster bisque and goat cheese salad. Wonderful pasta selections. Of course the spinach artichoke dip was a great starter. Everyone loved their food. Any meal that starts w complimentary Ozzie rolls will be awesome, right? We've always loved Mike's; Ozzie's includes all Mike's best loved features and dishes but in Fairfax Corners locale. Just eat there...you'll love it!

Excellent Great American Restaurant

Visited this restaurant for Dinner. We have gone to other restaurants by Great American Restaurant Group: Arties and Coastal Flats. So we were expecting nothing less than great food and we received it. We ordered Tex Mex Rolls and Crispy Brussels Sprouts for appetizer even though later is offered as a side dish. Both were excellent. For main course we ordered Short Smoked Salmon and Beef Short Ribs. Salmon was perfectly cooked on a bed of mashed potatoes and Ribs were melt-in-your-mouth good. Ribs came with mashed potatoes, crispy fried onion and glazed carrots. The portion size was excellent with no room for dessert. The bread, fried dough balls, are always excellent. They do take reservations and we had one. Otherwise you have to wait because it is always crowded.

Superb Service

We turned up at Ozzie’s at 11:15 before lunch service was to begin at 11:30 . The very cheerful hostess said “that’s OK I can seat you and you can have something to drink.” Very soon a remarkably helpful male waiter arrived and said that not only could we order but we could have our hot Ozzie rolls delivered promptly. We opted for a chop salad to share and two entrées - the brick chicken for me and the pasta Primavera for my husband. Both were outstanding. The employees also made a big difference. They made us feel welcome and valued!

Ozzie's is always friendly and responsive to our dinner requirements. Tuesday eving was no exception as Abby was able to provide what we needed. We enjoyed the Brick Oven Chicken and Grilled Tuna salad. The Tuna was perfectly doene medium rare.

Stopped in for lunch on a weekday… They get pretty busy, especially at lunch time on weekdays with all the business people in the area. Staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Th menu is filled with all the typical GAR greats, as well as the unique few things that makes this concept different from the other GAR joints. The food was great (as always)! Started with ordering their iced tea… I think they have the best iced tea in the DMV! Then their started chop salad was excellent and fresh! The mahi special, which was done in a Mediterranean style was incredibly tasty and perfectly prepared!

Fantastic Restaurant, Excellent service

Ate here for lunch with my husband and son. The food was delicious and service was superb as always. The second we sat down the service was ready to help me get something started for my son who was clearly hangry and on the verge of a toddler meltdown. She was knowledgeable about the menu and navigated his dairy allergy like a champion. He had the kids burger and seemed to enjoy it. I had the steak salad and it was DELICIOUS(made gluten free and Celiac safe). My husband got himself a burger and also said it was great(he is picky about his burgers and said it was cooked perfectly and he didn't have to scrape any condiments off like usual)

Great dinner location

My first visit and I was impressed. While prices are somewhat high there is no arguing the food was delicious!Drink prices were reasonable. Atmosphere very relaxed and the staff friendly/attentive. Definitely recommended for singles/couples but it would please families with children as well. Highly recommended.

Good Eats Indeed!

Heavy construction in the immediate area, with extremely difficult parking challenges, kept us away for the past year. Gathered our courage to give it another try and found to our delight the lot at the end of the building was wide open. Had our favorite salmon entrees for lunch (one salad, one dinner entree). It was superb as usual! The Great American Restaurants seem to have a lock on the best salmon and crab cakes in the area. Continually find I'm disappointed at other area restaurants, not at the GAR. Service is attentive, meals come out quickly. A bread basket can take the edge off, and the bread is excellent. This GAR is a bit smaller than some, and seems quieter and more intimate. Pleasant setting and well-trained and friendly servers.

Great Christmas Eve Dinner

We always come here after Mass on Christmas Eve. It was crowded as usual but we were able to get seats at the bar. Outstanding service from our blonde bartender. She was great, efficient and friendly - all the while being super busy! Food and drinks were excellent as always. The marinated grilled salmon is outstanding!

2nd Visit and Still Good

Movie and lunch a great spot. This was our second visit pre COVID and now post COVID and still good service and food. I tried the Charleston Buffalo Chicken Salad and it was great. No service worries as well, the server was on us and checking in, filling our drinks, and making sure everything was good. It's a good spot to sit inside or out and the menu has lots of options. I'd say it's a safe bet we'll be back.
