Get here early if you hate to wait in lines. We went on a Sunday morning arriving around 0845am and we only waited in line about 10 minutes but shortly after we placed our orders and sat down, the line was around the corner. You’ll walk in and order at the kiosk, pay and seat yourself. Condiments and utensils and such are self service but the area is well tended to and clean. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. While we were in line waiting a kind older woman recommended a few dishes to us and made small talk, she also highly recommended the grits as being the first grits that she ever ate and DIDN’T have to put sugar in them lol. Sugar doesn’t go in grits, but that’s another debate for another day, I smelled what she was cooking though. What we ordered: I had the catfish and grits with potatoes and biscuit. My friends ordered the chicken wings and grits and the other ordered a huge breakfast sandwich. WE DEMOLISHED our plates! The catfish had amazing seasoning and didn’t really need anything added. I opted to add cheese to my grits and they were good. Not the most amazing ever but definitely yummy, I’m a true southern girl and I love my grits. The potatoes were cooked with peppers and seasoned to perfection. The biscuit was okay, fluffy but not warm so I only had a bite or two. The sweat tea is pricey, not worth the price I paid. It has a slight taste of lemon that I don’t care for in my sweet tea, also they’re prepackaged so no refills.

When the hype matches the experience! I visited Houston with friends to celebrate my bday and this was one of our stops. There was a line but the line moved fast. While in line we were offered to dine at the location with a smaller menu but same great taste, some ppl in our party of 10 did take that offer and were more than pleased. They received their food shortly after sitting. The other half of us ate in the main restaurant. We ordered and within 5 mins they were serving us our food. All of the food was delicious. The customer service was A+. The manager came, introduced himself, checked on us and made sure we didn’t need anything. I don’t know how they do it, but they did that!

We arrive at TBK and the line was out the door. But they had a seasoned young lady outside talking to you which made the wait not bad. We told her we were from DC and we talked about the weather, my daughter’s higher education, etc. and she gave us a menu. We ordered our food, took a number and sat down. This is when my stomach got excited. I shared the chicken and waffles and I have had this combination at other establishments but not as favorable as this chicken with a little Cajun Chef hot sauce which was also good. The hot sauce was so good I tried to find it in the grocery store. While we were eating the manager offer us a sample of gris and fried potatoes. I only ate it. Can I say AMAZING! I love grits and these were good without adding my usual salt, pepper and sugar but it probably didn’t need my usual because of all the other flavors I had with the chicken and waffles. The potatoes were also good with red, green peppers and onions. I will definitely try to re-create those potatoes. You gotta go try TBK!!

This place puts all of the national breakfast chains to shame. This was me and my wife’s first time here and it definitely will not be the last! Whoever allows the long line to deter them from waiting, you are definitely missing out. The greeter is hilarious, the line does not take too long, and once you place your order at the register and sit down, you food is on the table in about 3 minutes! The food was delicious and plentiful; it was worth every penny. To top it off, the manager came to our table just to ask how everything was. This place is a must-go in Houston!

Food that really does hit the soul. Portions are big, flavor is even bigger - be aware the quality makes for some long waits. You know it's a good southern joint when the lemonade is basically a diabetes shot.

Delicious food, great staff. Their biscuit was so perfectly soft, large portions, fair prices. 6-7 different coffees brewed (thought this was awesome). My husband and I enjoyed every bite of the omelete and eggs benedict we ordered.

The line....everyone mentions it so you should know by now. It moves along at a steady pace. TBK is a lean, mean, breakfast machine. You look at the menu in line. You order as soon as you step in. You pay first at the register. Someone will seat you and your group. Self-serve for coffee, condiments, silverware, etc. Your food will be delivered in a short time. Good amount of food. The wings are thick and juicy. The grits were full of flavor. Take some time and enjoy a meal before exploring the area.

Normally, I won't wait in line for casual food. Houston has way too many restaurants for me to feel it worth it. EXCEPT it is totally worth the line (which does move fast). I am also not a fan of chicken wings with my waffles, but I was completely wrong. Not only are they the best wings I've ever had, it is on a very short list of the best fried chicken I've ever had. My wife loved the catfish and my pre-teen daughter had french toast. Everything was amazing. We drive down from The Woodlands and intend to do it on a regular basis.

I have never in my life went to a restaurant and instantly felt like family. Took a chance and went on New Year’s day and to my surprise it wasn’t packed like Google suggested (yet..) Ms. Mary met us at the door and told us how everything worked. She felt like an Aunt that was welcoming us to the family reunion. The cashier felt like the cool cousin, told us more how it worked and his recommendations. Food came out in about 10 mins and all of it was good. (Katfish and grits was fire, chicken and waffles, fire… French toast, fire, everything else we had was also fire) The GM who seemed like an older uncle was occupying a table next to us, came to our table and asked us how everything was and we ended up talking about our kids for a few mins. It all seemed like a family event. I’ll definitely be back, I have a whole menu I have to try.

Walked in at just the right moment and we were second in line! I doubt that happens often. Heads up, you have to order before getting seated. Not an easy task since they have so many awesome choices. My introvert hubby just quickly stated, “just give me a waffle and 2 eggs,” and promptly disappeared into the crowd. LOL. The sweet cashier said, “wait, how do you want your eggs? Do you want sausage, bacon…?!” Her words fell to the floor as he zipped away! LOL. Anyway, I perused the menu, ordered his sides for his waffle and eggs and ordered the Green Eggs and Ham for myself with biscuit and sausage gravy on the side. The staff here are so helpful and friendly. We had several staff come by to make sure we had everything we needed and one staff member even brought me another biscuit that she had had them butter and grill, “…just for me to try.” She said I’d like it that way…and I did. We loved our breakfasts! Everything was fresh, large helpings and just terrific! About 12:15, a band called jawaD, started playing music. Fortunately, there were still enough tables available, so we were able to stay a while and enjoy the music. Great band! We met some very nice people at The Breakfast Klub and came away feeling like family. We will definitely return when we’re in Houston.

This is a unique breakfast place. When a place asks you if you want your easy-over eggs with runny yolk and/or runny whites, you know it is good. There is a long line out the door, which is another good sign. The line moves quickly because this place has an ingenious system of moving people through, with ordering and paying at the counter and then sitting with a number, with someone overseeing it all to let the right number of people in at a time. About a 5 minute wait at 0800, and worth it. We had the green eggs and ham and the breakfast klub sandwich. Both fabulous, and simple. Grits are delightful--light, good corn flavor, not too much butter. Also good coffee, self serve in paper cups. Not fancy at all, kind of like a shack, but great food and friendly staff, and a very relaxed, urban atmosphere with great R&B tunes playing inside and out. Parking on the street was easy.

Excellent service and good. The line was long outside, they have canopies to keep you from the sun. The lines took us about 20 min. You should scan the menu while in line so you know what you want when you get to cashier. The food come out pretty quick. We all had different orders and not one complaint. See pics. I would recommend stopping by. Don’t get scared of the line. The servers are super nice and seem happy to be there. If your order takes too long, they comp you a check wing.

We had a 30 minute wait on a Friday morning. Also, parking can be difficult to find close to the restaurant. Fortunately, once you are inside and placed your order the food comes quickly. We ordered Kountry Sausage & Eggs, Wings & Waffle and French toast. All 3 orders were excellent; however, the smoked country links are too salty for my taste. I Hate the wait but will go back for the great food and the service is very good.

If you have a hankering for a large hearty breakfast, this is the place. Wow is it good and well run. I had the “French Toast” while my wife had the “Pancakes”. Each came with two eggs made to order and a serious side of meat (your choice). You order at the counter, grab your silverware, napkins, and condiments before nabbing a table. There is quite a bit of seating and they do a big carry out business. So don’t let a long queue dissuade you. The service is excellent and the staff is welcoming. We brought a one year old grandchild and felt right at home. He loved the food.

I went with a group of 6. We waited about 30 minutes for a table. It was worth the wait. You order before you are seated, so decide what you want to order while in line. The portions are large, if you aren’t a big eater I recommend sharing. I ordered the fired chicken and grits and it was amazing.
