Charivari was one of my favorite restaurants in Texas. In part for Chef Schuster's excellent food. But also --- for any of you who have loved that "small European restaurant" (say, in Germany) --- it is like coming home. Recently Charivari was closed, but as...More

Charivari was redecorated over the past few months: the results are quite pleasant: color combinations are sedate and relaxing and there is more natural light in the dining area. The menu has also been redone, with a number of new dishes among the already excellent...More

We were very happy with our luncheon of fish, soup, salad and strudel, accompanied by a glass of white wine. The atmosphere is sweetly Old World and the service is professional and friendly!

My wife and have been coming to Charivari for 3 years now. We love this place, the service and food are always impeccable. I especially like the wine selection. They have a large selection from the world over. Great atmosphere too.

This is a great restaurant for business lunches because the wait staff is not constantly interrupting. Their menu seems to be influenced with eastern european recipes. Very healthy. I should remember to visit more often, especially if the meeting is with downtown clients.

Charivari's is a Romanian/Hungarian restaurant that has been around for 17 years but I'd never tried it until I found myself in Midtown at lunchtime. They had free parking, an outdoor patio, and a quiet interior, elegant without being plush. They offered a three course...More

A range of Romanian-Hungarian food, in fact foods that you find mainly in Transylvania. Snitzel is good- I will never work to fry it home. They have caviar-the real deal- at a decent price. Good bread. Decent service.
