Order at a counter and they will then bring you the food. Not obvious that you need to pick up a paper menu at the door before you get to the counter. I guess regulars know what they want. Ok eggs - grits - meat...breakfast. Gross thing that was allegedly a biscuit with ugly gravy on it. Decent latte. It was pretty expensive for what you get. Give me a NJ diner any day.More

We are in houston visiting and happened upon this place for brunch on Saturday. It appears to be a small local chain of a few locations. It is a walk up order for meals and then they bring it to you. They have outdoor seating...as well as plenty of indoor. We choose outdoor. They have a separate line just for coffee and desserts, which we did not use. I got the turkey club on a croissant. My companion got the pumpkin soup and we split the brussels sprout appetizer. All the food was very good. Highly recommend the brussels sprouts. Food came out in a very timely manner. Would go back again when visiting .More

Everything was french and good portions- it was crowded but we told them we were in a hurry and they made it happen for us. That whole area kind of charms me.

We loved the Rice Village area so we tried this place for breakfast. They were very busy however the staff was friendly and organized and got us seated after a 15 minute wait. The food was phenomenal. The kid had the chicken and waffles while...I had the smoked salmon omelette. It was amazing!! This is a great spot for brunch!More

I highly recommend the black walnut. Excellent customer service and great food on the whole……but Was disappointed with the “croissant biscuits and gravy”, not because it wasnt good, but because there was just a very small amount of gravy on a large croissant which meant...you had mostly a dry croissant. The gravy was excellent but the dish was ruined because there wasnt nearly enough gravy.More

Simple food, quick service and a good place to meet on weekends. The breakfast/ brunch was very similar to egg harbor cafe… just that they had drinks/ flights as well.

A group of friends meet here for breakfast every few weeks and enjoy the varied menu. Sometimes the background music is a little loud for a morning crowd. Serve Jose Luis Martinez is especially courteous and helpful.

Great ambiance inside and out, next door to two other restaurants with outdoor seating and across the street from the bars. Free parking nearby and good food.

Excellent food options including some Creative ones. Great service. Lots of safety measures during this pandemic - distanced seating, sanitizers, etc. Nice outdoor seating.

Have been here many times and enjoy the salads. A bit loud but outside area is nice and quiet when a pretty day. Chinese chicken salad is great.
