Went into the hospital fasting and had a long day at the center. Nice bite if you are able to locate it.

Best place in the whole MDA complex for something to eat or snack. Service is quick, Chick Fil A, Asian, cold sandwiches, hot meals, great breakfasts
For lunch and dinner there is a nice selection out of a variety of stations. A home section for meats, vegetables, and casserole dishes. A grill for burgers and chicken. A Chic fil A. Deli sandwiches and a salad bar. Pay on the way out...so you can mix it up as well. Ample seating. They keep it on the cold side.More
Fabulous, nutritious, quick food for the cancer patient on the run between appointments. Huge selection of all kinds of foods. Everyone eats here - MDACC employees and cancer patients and their families/relatives/friends alike. This is a larger complex than the Waterfall Cafe but it is...not as picturesque. More cafeteria style. Low cost and convenience were more highlights and probably some of the biggest and best reasons to eat here.More
When you are visiting a medical center, usually your expectations for food are low. The MD Anderson cafe is actually quite good. We had vegan shepherd’s pie with roasted vegetables! Nicely done!
As a patient between appointments, this was a place for quick food. They had Chic-fila and we got the chicken sandwich. I had just got bad news about my cancer so I really wasn't in a mood to eat, but it was quick and would...meet some people's standards for quick food. It was much better than a lot of hospitals food.More
This cafeteria is convenient but not especially good. The eggs are served with an ice cream scoop. The hash browns are cold and the biscuits and croissants are ok. The coffee was good
Expanded hours result in poor service and bad food. Salad bar a disaster and very unappetizing at 5PM. Passed over by all for pre-packaged salads. Hot food not visited by anyone while I was there. Two types chicken long simmering with mushy broccoli sprouts and...peas and carrots. Pizza slice was horrible, greasy and not tasty in any way. Line at grill for burgers. Chick-fil-a doing business. No one working or maintaining any station except grill. Big disappointment after a long day at MD Anderson. MD Anderson should do better than this.More
My Mom was in MD Anderson for a week, and my Dad and I ate at Cafe Anderson almost every day - simply out of convenience. Having the Chick-fil-A products were the big plus; most of the food in the hot line was simply "ok."...To be fair, I may have been disappointed because I had read about the cafeteria on the MD Anderson website prior to going to Houston, and I had been excited. It sounds like a wonderful place from the website. My Dad and I were both less than thrilled with the actual cafeteria.More
Very convenient with a large selection and many good choices for each meal. If you have family members in the hospital, the availability of food at Café Anderson is a great convenience.
I had egg, potato and bean taco. Bland and not warm enough Not my first choice Looked clean Staff friendly
Located on first floor, a chick fill a, bbq burger and other options available. For breakfast the standard eggs, sausage Patty or link, bacon, hash brown Patty, potatoes obtain, biscuit and country or sausage gravy, a breakfast bar of assorted breads and pastry n bagels. Food...was ok but the links had been out a while and getting dried skin, the gravy was lukewarm by the time we sat down to rat. I think the omelet or pancake stations making food to order may have been better choices.More
This is a pretty good cafeteria for a hospital. they have fresh food and you can choose to have some food cooked to order. they also have a Chick-Flay that has the basics. You can also get supplement drinks like Boost and Green Machine in...the coolers.More
I realize we're talking about a cafeteria in a hospital, but given the outstanding facilities of MD Anderson, we expected a little more. After spending two weeks with a family member in MD Anderson, we tried almost everything. The best by far is the Chick-fil-A;...pretty hard to mess that up; second best was the salad bar, third the pizza and calzones. Everything else tended to be very bland, cold, and not at all appetizing. Anything prepared to order took a very long time. Unfortunately, you don't have many choices without leaving the hospital.More
This was our "go-to" cafe while my husband was a patient at MDA. Food was usually ok-more choices than other hospital cafeterias.
