After Mardi Gras parade, came for late dinner. Excellent drinks (best we had); the warm parmesian bread was delicious. Order just one appetize for two, it is filling. Food was more than we could eat, big portions. No room for dessert but suspect it would've...been tasty. Spendy, but very much worth it.More

We loved this place from the wait staff to the food. Wife ordered fried fish and shrimp platter, I had Blackened redfish. Both were great, garlic bread melts in your mouth. Our waiter was wonderful, we ordered from lunch menu. Value vs. Food was much...better than some of the other places in town.More

Willie G's Seafood & Steaks to a very reliable dinner experience. The seating is very good. The views are very nice. The service is professional. The food is very good too. Nothing was disappointing. We eat at Willie G's and then head to the The...Grand 1894 Opera House.More

Stopped in for a quick bite before taking the "tours". Nice price, great service. They will validate parking, so ask.

I could go on and on about the food and service . Marcio was excellent. Gave us a rundown of the specials and catch of the day. Answered all of our questions and just took really good care of us. Now, for the food. I...had Redfish Loiusiane and other than the fresh Opakapaka I had in Hawaii, this was right there with it in both presentation and taste. I could eat this dish several times a week. My wife had the Del Mar and it was every bit as good as my dish. DON'T change anything about these two dishes and cuddos to the chef. We will be back!! Highlight of our entire trip.More

What a great place. Food, presentation and service were all exemplary. Even the prices weren't quite as steep as we had expected, so that was a pleasant surprise. We were here in the middle of a weekday afternoon, so the restaurant wasn't crowded. We got...a prime table near the windows, where we could look out on the bay during our meal. It really was an idyllic experience. Also--Willie G's is part of the Landry system.More

We were a party of six and was seated immediately. I had the filet and it was excellent. The staff was very friendly. Would go again given the opportunity.

We came to celebrate my birthday. All and all great experience. We had a reservation but still had to wait a little bit, but the food and service made up for it. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. Will absolutely recommend this restaurant

This restaurant is easy to find on the back bay just north of the Strand, There is a large parking lot (this is a cash/credit card lot--totally different than the street parking paces that are ONLY accessible with an app). in front that is part...of the restaurant an the exorbitant fee is covered at the restaurant! In fact. they give you a little extra tie to explore the area. The sailing vessel--Alissa-- is very close and it is a good tour if you have the time. The property is very nice on all counts. It is attractive and has lots of tables inside and outside--as well as a good bar. The ambiance is nice and the views of the water are decent--not great because it is an industrial area, but still good. The service is prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. The menu is good and has all you expect it to have, The portions are very large and the food is excellent. The pieces are very reasonable for what you get. This (like most of the restaurants in Galveston. is part of the Laundry Group) The restrooms are clean an easy to access. All in all, it is everything we were told it would be. We will return.More

So when one makes reservations at an upscale restaurant, one expects upscale service. The restaurant, without a doubt, has the right ambiance but the wait service and food quality was lacking. I asked the waiter the mkt price of an item on the menu and...he blew me off; kinda like, if you have to ask then you probably can’t afford it. I had to go find out from the manager. Then the waiter served our gumbo but no bread. This is supposed to be upscale. I ended up having to go ask the hostess for bread, only because I saw other waiters bringing their tables bread. The food was mediocre. I was not impressed. I’ve had way better fried fish at lesser establishments. I guess what is so disappointing is I remember years ago when Willie G’s was superb in all ways, service and food. I worked hard for the money to be able to dine there, but it was a wasted visit. I won’t be visiting Willie G’s again. To be considered upscale, this experience was inconsistent at best. I think I’ll try Gaidos next time; I’ve heard good things about their food.More

Fresh seafood in a comfortable, yet upscale (but not stodgy) environment. We took our toddler with us, but still felt like it was a date atmosphere. The food and service were both excellent.

Billy G's was bustling when we got there just in time for our dinner reservation. Our server, Cody , was personable, funny and knowledgeable. We ordere a variety of items, Oysters Rockerfeller, the mixed grill, ceasar salad, and lobster bisque. All of them were great!...The chef accomodated a special request that one of our family members had which helped her have a good time. I loved the mai tai cocktail. The view of the harbor was fun. The restaurant was a bit noisy, but every guest in the restaurant seemed to be having a great time. We didn't go exploring, but the whole neighborhood looked like it would be fun to explore. We appreciated that the parking was free with validation.More
