Waiter showed up in a reasonable amount of time to take my order. Order was delivered directly from the kitchen and was wrong, but I never saw my waiter again until long past the time I was finished eating. To go containers took another 10...minutes. I wish I was kidding. Food was good, but I had to pick out all the lettuce I had specifically asked NOT be in my order. Ambience was fine if you like noisy restaurants with lots of staff dashing around but poor service.More
We're sorry to hear that your recent visit fell short of our usual standards. We strive to give the best experience no matter how many guests we are serving to. We apologize for the mix-up with your order and the delay in providing you with...More
This restaurant sets the bar for great Mexican food. I had the Grilled Shrimp Tacos - to say they were delicious is an understatement. I asked for the poblano sauce on the side and enjoyed every flavorful bite. The charro beans had extra cilantro -...perfection! Rice was so tasty too. Add fantastic service to the mix and this is a place you’ll come back to, just like us.More
We're thrilled that you had an amazing experience with us, Denise! It sounds as though our Grilled Shrimp Tacos and the delightful combination of poblano sauce plus charro beans served exactly to your satisfaction, setting the bar higher for Mexican food. Your kind review means...More
I had the worst fish taco of my life here. The fish was not fresh, and the batter was soggy. It was quite fishy tasting, like old fish. Gag worthy. It consisted of a soggy piece of fish in a soft tortilla shell and some...wilted lettuce. No Mexican flavour, nothing delicious about this meal. I was very disappointed because i had researched plenty before visiting the island. This place got good reviews. It was NOT good. Not at all.More
Hello BCsenorita, thanks for leaving your review. We're sorry to hear that our fish taco didn't quite hit the mark - this falls well below our usual standard and we want you to have a 5-star experience. If you would like to share more details...More
This was a fun place to eat. There was a Mariachi band playing that was pretty good. The food was nice, priced fairly, and the service was good.
It's fantastic to hear that you enjoyed the food, ambiance, and overall experience with us. Thanks for your lovely review! We look forward to welcoming you back for more delightful moments soon.
No lunch menu on the weekend, but excellent food. Service was ok. Easy walk from Home 2 Suites. Nice atmosphere. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Everything was great. Went with family and friends. It was busy but we figured it would be. Our server was nice. My food took forever and she keep checking with the kitchen and couldn’t be nicer. I didn’t mind. Overall it was good. I ordered...chili rellano rice and beans.More
We've been coming here, giving good reviews for over a decade. We are seeing a disturbing trend of dogs allowed inside. On this visit, the dog was in the bar area, sitting on a high stool, sharing the food with the owner....an upper middle aged...male. He was bragging that the dog was a "chic magnet." He was not a handicapped or blind man. I asked our server about it, and he said "if a service dog we have to allow it." NO YOU DON"T. You have the right to refuse service to anyone. What happens when half the customers start doing this? It's gonna happen!More
They have had consistently great food. I have only gone for dinner each time. Had fajitas, chicken and a beef burrito. All excellent!
Delicious food and even better service. Hot sauce was excellent, chips were hot and crispy. I had the fajitas. Came out sizzling. The rest of the gang were very happy with their food too. Our server was amazing too. She did an outstanding job.
A group of friends from a small school in Puerto Rico had a reunion in Galveston and we booked a private room at this restaurant. The manager, Jorge, worked with me on a special buffet and helped me to organize a very special night. We...paid for dinner, tax and tips in advance, and the only thing we had to pay for was alcohol. There was plenty of waitstaff to accommodate us, and everyone was exceptionally friendly and organized. We couldn’t have asked for a better spread and variety of food. Thank you so much for your help!More
First of all our server, Eduardo, was wonderful! The chips and salsa were quickly placed. Drinks took a little bit longer than they probably should honestly but we like to extend grace where we can. Eduardo was very busy with a rather large party. The...food was fast and delicious. We left satisfied and would visit again when in the area.More
Reviews say this is “the bes Mexican restaurant in Galveston’” and it probably is. A pleasure able dining experience is about more than the food. The hostess wasn’t friendly or welcoming. The waiter acted like he wanted to be anywhere else but there. Food delivery...was slow and just plopped down on the table. On a positive note, the food was good. Not great, but we liked it well enough. The margaritas were meh. All in all, service performance could use an overhaul.More
Lunch was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. It was an off week, but the wait time was minimal. View of the beach and okay atmosphere. Lots of variety on the menu.
In town on vacation and I love Mexican food. Decided to give it a try. Was wonderful food and great service.
