We ate here a couple of times and the food was great. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Covid restrictions were followed by the staff and we felt safe. They have a nice garden at the back of the pub, it's much nicer than...the smaller side/front garden.More

The food here is lovely. I had gorgeous creamy muscles followed by the sirloin steak cooked to perfection. The staff are so friendly and very accommodating. We had a mobility scooter for my elderly dad and they even swapped the tables around for us. The...restaurant was fully booked, so best make a reservation. Thoroughly recommend 😀More

half a dozen old gits on motorcycles descended on West Bay one week and tried every drinking hole in the town. This one we found and were pleasantly surprised. The beer was good, the staff attentive! Had a great laugh and a good time. Well...worth a visit.More

Lovely old pub with really nice staff serving. We stopped off for drinks before our evening meal and would love to return for dinner or lunch next we are here. I had a Dorset Gold beer, which I really enjoyed..

Had such a great night just had to write a review. Myself and my husband went for dinner. He ordered the burger which came with cheese and bacon and fries and I ordered the Salmon fishcakes. Probably the best fresh fishcakes ever. Absolutely delicious food...bought out by the chef who is obviously very talented. Could not recommend highly enough it is a must go if in the area!!More

Have stayed at the hotel on 3 different occasions for work as a solo traveller, rooms are great, comfortable and homely - beds super comfy. Lovely relaxed setting in the Bar/ restaurant. The food has been fantastic on each visit, can’t recommend enough. Breakfast also...brilliant. Staff have been extremely welcoming and friendly each visit and have gone out of their way to make me feel at home, fantastic location, only wish it was summer so I could have strolled along the beach in daylight!! Top hotel, many thanksMore

Stopped in over the weekend for a drink after a walk. Was charged £9 for a pint and a coke. Won't be stopping here again.

When last here I commented on the prices which were high for the quality on offer. On a recent visit I can report that the prices haven't changed much but the quality had improved considerably to a point where I can say it was the...best PUB meal in a long while. If visiting for a meal make sure you use the restaurant as the bar area was not all that suitable (or pleasant when we were there) for eating. I also would comment on the poor service - not the young girls fault I am sure but service is more than just plonking the food on the table and disappearing.More

Yes i have eaten there on many occasions with my Dad and it is our favourite place to have our lunch on our days out. Sorry you do not agree with how we have found our visits there but I speak how I find!
