Initially we were going to pass this pub, however, we did go in and were pleasantly surprised. The staff were so friendly and informative and the selection of beers and particularly whiskeys was fantastic. This is a whiskey lovers paradise, this was the best pubs...we visited and I would strongly recommend a visit.More
We popped in here for a drink and so happy that we did. The staff are fantastic, friendly and interested in their clients. The toilets are clean. The selection of drinks is amazing and you could sit all day just checking out what is available....We will definitely be back on our next trip.More

We popped in as it was raining, what a great move! The bar staff were extremely and friendly. The choice of whiskeys is amazing, also real ale, wine and a few cocktails. We had a few snacks including scotch egg which was really good. We...didn’t want to leave but will definitely return.More
I cannot recomend this fantastic real ale pub enough. Staff and customers were very friendly and helpful. Do try the Discarded banana peel rum. It's amazing
Great atmosphere and great staff. Alas, they don't seem to serve meals these days, though the cold pork pie with black pudding was delcious even if the mustard was industrial English

The best pub in town for real ale lovers. A very atmospheric place with very helpful staff. Went sevearl times during our week's stay in town.
Must visit! Choice of beer, local foods and whiskey. You will need some time for the whiskeys though. Around 400!! Friendly welcome and a great time was had.
A great real ale and cider pub with a friendly buzz about it. Great staff and well kept ales. But they do have an extensive range of Whisky and other spirits plus a couple of Craft ales. No food to speak of but at the...end of the day its a drinking bar that is well worth a visit.More
Based upon the really positive reviews we decided to make the Lamplighter our own local for our stay between Xmas and New Year. It is clearly a big favourite with the locals and although always crowded, we always felt comfortable. Beers were all well kept...and there were ample stocks of Prosecco to keep our women happy! it’s a whisky drinkers paradise with quite the most enormous selection I’ve ever seen. What an incredible range of whiskies. I come from Speyside and I've never seen the like. Great ales on tap. Special vintage armagnacs. But if yours is a half of lager you'll be just as well served. Lovely ambience. No food served.
This is a really interesting pub with very friendly staff and locals. A big range of drinks, interesting decor, and quirky characters! This is a great place for a prelonged sesh.
From outside this pub looks small but when you go inside its a good size and lovely looking. It is worth a visit and probably one of the nicest pubs in St Helier. It is close to the marina and central to town. As well...as tourists, a lot of locals drink here which is a good sign. They sell bar snacks too.More
