Great Lunch with my daughter in laws father who is hard of hearing. We split a Summer Salad. I enjoyed the Rib sandwich. Joe liked his cheese burger. Service was excellent. No drinking this time but the bar looked good. Near the VA hospital and...I would eat there again.More

I really wanted to like this place but I didn’t. I had the beet carppacio for starters and it was tasteless. The taste was not on the same level as the price. My boyfriend had the potato leek soup and he liked it. Neither of...us liked the main courses. I had the short rib, and it definitely was not worth it. The meat was super dry, potatos seemed like they were cooked when still raw (they were hard and floury) and the mushrooms were super hard too. Even the stock/broth was tasteless, which is basically the whole point of a stew. The dish was HUGE. My boyfriend had the steak & fries dish and it was super dry too. No sauce served with pieces of meat and fries. For this price point, I really expect a lot more. Dessert were okay (definitely not the best) but how wrong can you go with brownies and creme brulee. The only thing we really liked was my pear margarita and the potato leek soup.More

I was a bit disappointed in this restaurant. We'd been driving by it on my many trips up to WB and we finally stopped in to try it out. It was just ok. There weren't that many people in the restaurant and yet it took...over 5 minutes to see a waitress. My co-worker actually asked the hostess about our server and she seemed to get a little defensive and said the server was delayed on purpose so we could settle in to our table. Bizarre. The food was alright, nothing really much to say about it. The wine selection was fine. The best part about the meal was the tiramisu (which I got to go).More

What a find! Staying at the Woodlands we wanted to find a restaurant nearby and the reviews about Isabella's on Trip Advisor did not let us down. The service and atmosphere were wonderful and the food even better. The charcuterie board and the various choices...along with the warm bread were fantastic. The carpaccio and bolognese equally as good . I have driven past Isabella's a number of times. Why haven't I been there before? It certainly won't be the last!More

In planning our drive between FL and ME, I looked for a place to stay near Scranton (and proximity to I 84) with a good restaurant for a birthday dinner with my husband. I chose Wilkes-Barre for Isabella, and we were both more than pleased!...We enjoyed happy hour drinks, but declined a happy-hour appetizer because we'd selected our seafood entree and wanted to be fully able to enjoy it. Being Floridians, we were amazed at the freshness of Isabella's fish. Fran Dolan, the general manager, warmly welcomed us and assured we had a memorable dining experience.More

This was a return engagement to Isabellas to share the wonderful food with my wife. We were warmly met by Fran who I had met before, and we chatted about the menu and my choices for the evening. After looking through the menu and seeing...a number of great options, I couldn’t resist getting the Aji tuna again. It was just so wonderful last time I couldn’t imagine anything being better. And it was just as good as before with wonderfully seared tuna, a nice horseradish sauce drizzled over the top, and nicely cooked the rice to finish it off. It’s a full plate and a meal, with maybe room for an appetizer. My wife ordered the lobster tortelloni which she really enjoyed and I found enjoyable as well, although perhaps a half serving was a little late for either of us. The fresh made pasta was center stage in this dish and it was great. I also ordered the special crab-cake appetizer which had the same fruit and tomato relish base as the diver scallops on the menu. The crabcake was stuffed with crab meat, nicely grilled, very little filler. The relish base is quite tasty and is a nice complement to the crab and I’m sure the Diver Scallops which I might try next time. Add to this a nice drink and wine collection. We tried a Peach Moscow Mule that was peachy and hide the alcohol well. The Toasted Head Chardonnay by the glass went well with the tuna. As before this was a wonderful visit, a great meal. Great service and helpful staff. I can’t wait to come back again.More

This was a great find! Food amazing! We ordered and shared. meatball appetizer had two huge servings covered with mozzarella. The scallops were pan seared and lively. I ordered the seafood special : Halibut. The fish was pan seared and served on top of a...deliscious vegetable combo. My husband ordered the special veal which was cooked to perfection. My son’s New York Strip was also cooked to perfection. Atmosphere was nice and staff friendly.More

I got there as they opened. This is an upscale Italian Restaurant but with my long sleeved t-shirt they welcomed me. I chose to sit at the bar so as to not occupy one of the limited number of tables. They were very welcoming. The...specials notice had not been printed yet but the manager brought it to me as soon as it was printed. Then I got fresh bread (I had to wait about 10 minutes since it was still in the oven) and a delicious meal. I will go back!More
