After reading the good reviews, we decided to sit in the bar for drinks and appetizers. The bartender was very unpleasant, and didn’t seem to want us to come in. I understand they were very short staffed, but he was downright rude, unlike what other...people here have said. He totally ignored us for a crazy long time, not even a hello. When we eventually got a drink and food, it was good. He was the slowest bartender I’ve ever seen, and it wasn’t even that busy. I found him to be very intimidating and angry. We feel he does not give the hotel a good name.More

Everything from appetizer to dessert was just excellent, and Michael was a great host. We chose Oyster for my wife's birthday and this was our first time there, certainly won't be the last. The wasabi encrusted filet was just incredible.

It was an overnight stay for us. We went to the Oyster for dinner but I need to be careful because I need to be gluten free. Not a problem at The Oyster! Michael was delightful and very knowledgeable about making gluten-free options. I had...grilled chicken served over gluten-free pasta with a tomato sauce that was outstanding! He also suggested a tomato and fresh mozzarella salad with pepper relish. Delicious! We live about three hours away and are planning to return to stay again and relive our wonderful dining experience! Thank you, Michael!More

The Oyster rests within the wonderful Genetti Hotel, and the establishment is well-kempt and inviting. My server, Michael introduced the menu to me with a list of recommendations. I decided on the filet mignon in peppercorn sauce with roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes. Michael presented...the dish with deserving flair, and the meal was both perfect and incredible. The dinner was simply perfect thanks to a phenomenal chef who sees his dishes as high-quality art. If I lived closer, I would certainly dine at Oyster several times a week.More

We were just there during the Covid time in June and not many places for eating options. We stayed at the Best Western so it was easy to order and have it delivered. The menu seemed like good choices but they were not well prepared....Lobster roll was small and crunchy, and the tuna sushi roll was not as fabulous as the other reviewer said. The pizza was just a big dough thing that was not really pizza.More

My husband and I went for an early Valentine’s Day dinner last night. I have seen the sign so many times and forget about it when I want to go out to dinner. Finally we decided to try it and I am mad at myself...for not trying it sooner!!! We were greeted by Michael the bartender/Manager on Duty who was incredibly pleasant and very helpful. Parking is a little funny there so he actually walked out with me to show my husband where to park. He sat is in a great area that looked a little like a gazebo with mosquito netting which I thought was very charming. Our server, Cody I believe his name was, greeted us almost immediately. He told us the favorite items on the menu, and brought our drinks back the appetizers followed very shortly after and he took our dinner order. The food was incredible! The oysters, very fresh and delicious, the wedge salad was amazing. I love that they put a little vinegar and oil to contrast the blue cheese and the bacon was so crispy! The calamari was incredible and had some wilted spinach, capers, banana peppers and had marinara on the side. My filet for dinner was perfectly cooked med rare and had a half of a lobster tail in it which was also cooked perfectly. My husband has a NY strip with an amazing blue cheese and prosciutto cream that was so good I started dipping my food in it! Do not leave without trying their chocolate desert, I forget what it was called but it had chocolate cake, chocolate mouse, molten chocolate and was smothered in a chocolate that hardened a little as it cooled off. We were so happy with the wonderful staff, the amazing food and the ambiance! The only problem that we encountered was that the owner (I think) and an event coordinator (I think) just by hearing their conversation, were incredibly loud in their whole conversation and talking about money. Which I thought was very inappropriate in the dining room during dinner service. That kind of a conversation should not be had around guests in the dining room.More

The service was very good unfortunately the steaks were not good at all. The fillets were very unevenly cooked and just not quality cuts of meat. Very disappointing for the price charged.

The kitchen was very flexible and dinner was made to order. I think they would be able to create a good gluten free meal. The breakfast buffet had options that were suitable for a gluten free diet. I think the staff would... More
