We wanted to be safe with the covid surge so did take out . The food was amazing and ready for pick up a few minutes early. The risotto was to die for. The chef took special care to package the takeout well. I’d happily...order there again. Very sanitary.More

As mentioned a million times in reviews below the view is phenomenal. For our first time out to dinner in 10 months we chose Altius due to prior experience with the exceptional food. The food and wine were great. The people there and our waitress...were attentive and very friendly. Covid wise the tables were very well spaced apart and all employees wore masks. The space seemed a little bit chilly, which- if theyre improving air flow due to Covid - is a good thing! Well done! My Open Table reservation for 6:00pm noted that there is a 1 1/2 hour time limit on tables for two. After being led to our table, it was off- putting to be told by the seater “..there is a 1 1/2 hour time limit and your table which should be plenty of time to finish your meal...”. We sat, checking our watch. We didnt realize how much the ambiance of a major night out would be affected by the time limit. We like to have a drink before dinner, savor a bottle of wine, and relax over coffee and dessert. We did all this but without the savor and relax part. We left there at 7:40pm a bit disappointed with our experience. And re- corked the rest of the wine to take home. I dont know if other restaurants are doing time limits, but it wasn't the experience we remembered and hoped for.More

Waited 20 minutes to be seated. Out of sparkling water. Out of oysters. Had the last margarita. Wine lists lacks enough 100.00 bottles of wine. Sea bass very good. I’ll stick to Mortons in the future. My rating 7/10. But I spent 500.00!!!

I wanted the steak frites, so we ate in the bar. The only difference from the dining room was the availability of the bar menu. Otherwise, it offered all of the amenities of the dining room. We shared the charcuterie plate and the mocha desert....Everything was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful.More

We took an out of town friend to Altius for dinner last night. Everything was superb - our seating, the view, the meal, the wine selection, the excellent service! Our friend said it was one of the top 5 meals he's had anywhere.

What an absolutely beautiful restaurant! The service was amazing, the views were breathtaking and the wine was delightful. The food was fresh and good, but not out of this world (as I was expecting from the reviews). I would definitely recommend coming here for the...experience!! We had a magnificent time.More

I cannot fault this place. I have been a couple of times and it has always been wonderful, great service, great views and the most tasteful dishes. Highly recommended and will hopefully have a chance to return one day.

As soon as you walk in, you’ll notice the great ambience with its ultra cool bar and wine wall. Next, enjoy the great views and food. The sea bass with risotto was well prepared. Surf and turf special was excellent along with the lamb. Portions...are large but make sure you save room for the “Turtle” dessert. The prices reflect the high quality of the food and service. Dining experience was well worth every penny.More

We chose this restaurant based upon the great reviews and because they were allergy friendly. Chad was our server and did an incredible job working to ensure the food for our niece was compatible with her diet (no black pepper, dairy, eggs, or gluten), while...still handling an anniversary or birthday to our right, and a wedding proposal to our left. We were seated in the upper level next to windows and the view at night was absolutely stunning! The mixed drinks were especially good as well. My wife enjoyed the Espresso Martini and I enjoyed the Bourbon Renewal (sweet), the Navy Grog (dry), and the Louisianne (similar time a cinnamon fireball whisky). This is clearly one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh. A+More
