It is a delight that this place survived (continues to survive) the pandemic. Food was perfect. I generally do not order chicken when eating out for fear of getting dismayed by dryness, a common problem. As a test and curiosity how this place stack up...to fining dining standards, I went for the chicken entree and Wow! It was succulent and very very tender. It went very well with the Tempranillo. Kudos to the chef. We had a terrific time. Service was excellent.More

5* service; 5* decor and ambiance; 5* food Loved the tuna tartare recipe. I should mention, I requested the seasoning mix, soy based sauce and yuzu sauce on the side. I loved the soy based sauce; it resembled teriyaki sauce but was better; I used...it sparingly. Even without the sauces, the dish was tasty. Also enjoyed the beet salad. I enjoyed the pink and yellow beets, marcona almonds and blue cheese. I was glad we were seated upstairs where it was quieter and more romantic.More

Service has been consistent. You are treated well but service staff. You are there for a good time not a long time. Food is terrific and parking is easy across the street for $5. Vegan options available.

it was great to be in a restaurant that appeared to have a full complement of staff and that provided excellent service. So many places are short-staffed these days. The food was excellent and the pace of service was to our liking (drinks, salads, and...entrees in about an hour).More

Eleven and Altius were the restaurants I selected for a trip to Pittsburgh. Eleven was priced significantly better than Altius and not necessarily of a lesser quality in terms of the food, in fact I enjoyed my dessert at 11 even more than the desert...at Altius. One aspect that I think is an area for improvement is the non-alcoholic drink situation. I wanted to order a Mocktail and was a little surprised that not only was there no menu to choose from for mock tails but there were no standard options that could be provided by the server. Instead it was noted as being the bartenders choice. I said that I like sweet and fruity drinks and hoped for the best. The drink that I was served had a gingerbeer base and I don’t enjoy the taste of gingerbeer. I would respectfully suggest the restaurant consider agreeing on a couple of drinks for patrons to choose from or at least running the bartenders choice by the guest first. If you’re treating me, ok it’s fine for it to be your choice. If I’m paying for the drink it should be something I might vaguely enjoy. Sound fair? Overall an enjoyable meal out with prompt and friendly service.More

As the heading said: How do they cook this? 'This' was the Braised Short Rib. My husband almost screamed out those words when he took the first bite: lightly crispy outside (not tough), melt in your mouth meat inside. This is meat. How do they...cook this? The meat must be high quality from the start. And the chef must be amazing! All other ingredients compliment the main course and presentation was beautiful. My seafood tasting and my daughter's swordfish were also (almost) out of the world. We ended up sharing with each other. 'you must taste mine...' and so on. We tried many high price tasting menu in this long trip. (Chicago, St. Paul, MI Lake area) Eleven at Pit. beats every single one of those. We will be back.More

I was happy to find the Pandemic didn’t hurt the presence, quality or ambience of Eleven when I passed through Pittsburgh recently. Most associates were masked, as were patrons who were not dining. Parties were placed within healthy distance of one another - bonus! It...was quieter too! I suggest a cheese or two as a starter. The truffle cow’s milk cheese presented with a honey dollop and quince compote on the cheese board was excellent. The white asparagus salad was tremendously flavorful. I’ve never had crispier fresh romaine lettuce! My entree selection was the roasted chicken. Oh goodness! I understand why it’s omnipresent on Eleven’s rotating menu! High recommendations and thanks to our server, Nathan for great beverage recommendations, pitch-perfect service and elevating this dining experience.More

They know how to do it. They prepared the perfect swordfish dish. From the in house made bread and the stellar service, this place really hit the marks for us. It’s always nice to walk away satisfied and feeling like it was the experience you...hope for. We eat a lot of seafood and live on the coast and this place showed they know how to cook fish perfectly. They have an in house bakery too and Nick was an awesome server.More

Excellent service Emily and Nicholas! Seafood Tasting entree was exceptional. Salmon and scallops are too often overcooked - here they were just right. 1st time in Pittsburgh. When I return I will target Eleven for the exact same dish!
