Old school diner with great food. Pancakes are an experience, light and fluffy and crunchy on the edges. So flavorful, they barely need syrup. Staff was great, food came out fast and everything on the plate was good.

Pancakes were the best I have ever had. A perfect mix between crunchy and soft texture, with a greasy but extremely flavorful taste. Service was amazing, and food came out quick. No complaints here. I'd run it back any day of the week.
Overall good experience. The food was ok. We didn’t have to wait long as we went on a Monday morning and there was not line. The pancakes are definitely different and something you must try at least once.
My wife and I ate here after several recommendations, plus my wife is named Pamela! We got here early and good thing, a line formed soon. Pam got pancakes which were beautiful, thin and had crispy fluted edges. They were a little greasy for me....I had the Pittsburgh hash. It’s ground kielbasa, potatoes, sauerkraut and topped with Swiss cheese. Holy cow!!! Get this as soon as possible. It also came with perfect eggs, but who cares with this hash next door. Service was great as every employee seems to take care of all the customers. They are popular for a reason.More
This was a to do on our list for our trip this time! Food was great! I have the Tex Amex Omelet! Highly recommend! Service was fantastic! Couldn’t ask for anything more! Love the old time feel!
5 star diner. Potatoes are excellent. Crepes are amazing. Get the ham it’s delicious. Coffee is fresh and hot. 5 stars. People working here are friendly and attentive. Perfect
Great atmosphere and great food! I had a strawberry crepe, was impressed with the wait staff telling us not to order banana crepes because they were unripe, rather than just putting in the order.
We first visited Pamela’s 3 years ago, and I’ve been dreaming of those strawberry pancakes ever since! Finally got to go back and they were just as good as I remember— crispy edges, sweet strawberries — mmmmm! Weekday mornings are nice — they let us...linger at an outdoor table.More
This breakfast spot is good but not spectacular. There’s always a line to get in. The staff is friendly but as a local I try and send tours to another diner called fathers diner by the Heinz lofts. This place along with Delucas and Khelioz...are decent but definitely tourist traps. If you want to eat where the locals eat where there’s no crowds good service and good food go to fathers diner across the bridge in the strip districtMore
We stopped here having read reviews that this is the place to eat in the Strip district. The wait was about 45 minutes on a Sunday arriving right before noon. Not terrible. We are told we could be seated if we ate outside, as it has...rained earlier. It was incredibly noisy from other people waiting and loud music from the church across the street. Then as we order, we are told no lunch on Sunday. Really? I got an omelet which was ok. The food took forever so I ate breakfast at 130 pm. The lyonnaise potatoes are the only thing that kept this from one star.More
Truly a local favorite! The Pamela’s Blueberry, strawberry crepes and hash were out of sight! Amazing food and great outdoor atmosphere. Drop in and enjoy your meal. The service was outstanding and our waitress was very friendly. Great job!
Got seated right away. Waitress saw that we were squeezed in and reseated us. Service and food was great.
We stopped here for brunch on a road trip to see family. So glad we did - food was delicious! We arrived around 10AM on a weekday and had a 10-15 minute wait. We did notice there were a few open tables, but we also...noticed that the wait staff, though busy, did not appear stressed or overworked. I'd rather wait a bit than have them cramming as many people in as possible and overworking their staff! We also appreciated the use of mobile credit card machines. Highly recommend.More
We stopped at Pamela's in the Strip District for brunch before heading home after a weekend. I had the French Toast (very good), and a side of the Pittsburgh Hash (delicious). My family had pancakes, chorizo hash, and eggs. All of it was wonderful and...filling. The servers were very bubbly and super friendlyMore
I've always experienced great service and amazing food! It's a must stop for me, when visiting Pittsburgh.
