Tonight was the first night restaurants were allowed to open again after the holiday shutdown in PA. That being said our service and meals exceeded our expectations although we have never had a bad meal here and have been coming here for a few years,...it is our favorite place...but there always has to be an idiot that causes problems and tonight there was a man walking around who clearly didn’t belong there. He was high on something and trying to ruin every customers meal but he didn’t bother us as we are both in the business and used to dealing with difficult people. We enjoyed our meal as we were just happy to be able to eat at a great restaurant again. Eddie V’s went above and beyond what anyone should ever have to do in these times. They did not charge us for our meal, we begged them to please not do that as we know how hard things are right now for the restaurants in the area but they didn’t listen. In return we left a large tip to hopefully cover our meals etc. we will be back as we know none of what happened was their fault at all. Thank you to Alex, Dayquan (I hope that is spelled correctly) and the managers and cooks at this location. What you did was not necessary but greatly appreciated. We will be back and have nothing but great things to say about everyone there.More

We picked up their delicious Thanksgiving dinner from their Pittsburgh location on the day before Thanksgiving. Once we got it home, we noticed that two items were missing. We called the restaurant and they did way more than then had too! Their customer service was...over the top and the food was outstanding! Their Easter holiday meal was equally as good. The entire process was easy to order, pick up and prepare.More

My steak was perfectly prepared! The staff was wonderful! My server, Bradyn was phenomenal, I suggest you request that he be your server when you dine here. He was energetic, attentive and always smiling! The manager, JC, was as impressive as Bradyn. Sharp, well spoken...and driven to make sure every little aspect of my experience was met. If you travel and want a great steak and incredible service, I suggest you eat here!More

On October 9th, my husband Brandon, & I were able to have a perfect (child-free!) date-night - one of the first in a very long time! True to form, Eddie V's did not disappoint! Everything from the ambiance, service, recommendations, food, cocktails, was exactly what...we needed to relax and enjoy. The General Manager, Amanda was a breath of fresh air, as was our Server, Edward! Managers, J.C. and Christine were also available and engaging. In a world turned upside-down due to the current status of the service industry, it was genuinely heartwarming to spend the evening in with a team that continues to go above and beyond, without cutting corners. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts! The StewartsMore

My husband and I dined here to celebrate our new marriage. Our server, Alex, was so personable and made the experience so amazing. We were offered complimentary champagne and dessert, which made dinner that much more special. All of our food was prepared beautifully and...tasted delicious.More

Before I get into the details of my Eddie V's experience, it is important to recognize every member of Eddie V's in Pittsburgh for providing such an amazing dining experience, especially during this pandemic. We were fortunate to celebrate our sixth year anniversary and thankful...that we were able to have a great dining experience from beginning to end. When we arrived to the restaurant, our table was decorated with rose petals and a card as well. Our waiver, Jack made our entire experience memorable and can't thank him enough for going above and beyond the entire time. Attention to detail and genuine customer service is what you would expect from this restaurant. Drinks and meals were amazing, such as the Red Dragon, Mango Mule, Calamari, Scallops, Shrimp, and Bananas Foster Cake. If you really want a great dining experience for a special ocassion, I highly recommend Eddie V's. We will definitely be back!More

We reserved a table for 6 for our first group dinner out in months. Upon arrival, we were escorted to a private grotto-like curtained off area that was wonderfully intimate. We didn't request this but I'm guessing the restaurant wants to segregate larger parties, which...was fine with us. Service was flawless, friendly and professional. Food was wonderful, especially the parmesan sole and the bananas foster for dessert. Restaurant is very pricey but for a special dinner out, well worth it. Can't wait to return.More

I’m not sure how anyone that has been here more than once cannot rate it 5 stars! We try to eat here at least once a month because we know the service and food will be among the best in the city (along with Monterey...Bay, Chef Ed prepares amazing meals). Anytime we have guests in town, or if there is a special occasion, we always find ourselves dining at Eddie V’s. We have been getting takeout weekly and recently did the Easter dinner. We also recommended it to my in-laws, and we all raved about how great it was! Amanda, Juan Carlos and all of the managers always make our experience memorable. All of the waiters and waitresses, especially Matthew and Jesse are another reason we continue to return. They always make us seem welcome, and provide exceptional service! We will continue to visit this location with guests or for any special occasions we may have, and we would recommend anyone who has not had a 5 star experience to give it another shot. You will not be disappointed!More

I was attending a company sponsored luncheon. They had several items to choose from: salmon, shrimp, chicken and filet. Since it it a seafood restaurant, I decided to try the shrimp. I was very surprised as the shrimp was tough inside the breading. I understand...they were trying to serve a lot of people at once and I get it. Just disappointed as I have heard only good things. The people that got the steak, etc. were very happy with their choice. It is a beautiful setting and the bar area looked inviting. Would like to go back on a personal outing.More

Depending on where you are staying, it might be best not to valet or park, since it is extremely expensive in Downtown Pittsburgh. If you can walk to the restaurant, it will be much better
