I ate at 3 restaurants during a June 2022 visit to Pittsburgh: Monterrey Bay Fish Grotto, Eleven, and Eddie V. The Fish Grotto has good food and service and a magnificent view from high atop Mt. Washington. Eleven is a fun place and serves excellent...food and service. Surprising for a chain restaurant, Eddie V is easily the best of the 3, with outstanding cuisine and perfect service. Highly recommended.More

Looking for a nice place for dinner after a successful conference presentation, Eddie's seemed to be the place to gonin downtown, and I was not disappointed. Food was standard seafood and grill fare but was exceptional quality and service was fantastic. My curly-haired server was...great value and we had some interesting discussions about oysters, wines and our common long curly hair styles. My oysters were delicious, with the addition of horseradish to the vinegarette a nice touch, and my striploin steak was fantastic! It was ab expensive meal, but definitely worth it. I'd return if in Pittsburgh againMore

Maybe the best overall dinner experience that my wife and I have had over more than 40 years together ( and we have been to many four and five star restaurants over that time). The food, presentation, service and ambiance were exceptional. We don’t get...to Pittsburgh often, but I can guarantee where we will head to for dinner on our next visit.More

Completely average dining experience. This is a chain restaurant and it shows. Very pricy for what you get. I prefer Morton’s

Overall experience was good. Our server Ron did an amazing job even though he had a bigger table and was running back and fourth. The oysters were fresh and great. The lobster potatoes were also good with a good portion of lobster on top. My...steak was a let down as it came out burnt/dry but cold and had to be sent back to warm up. At a restaurant were your bill will most likely be over 200 for two this should not happen. The banana foster was a nice table experience. Their presentation for our anniversary was also a nice touch. Overall, service great ,seafood great, steak not so much and this is why I rate average.More

This was our first visit to Eddie V’s and the dinner was a great experience. Our server Ron knew the menu extremely well. My wife had a goat cheese salad that she thought was the best salad she’d ever had. The wine selection is exceptional...and so is the atmosphere — very modern, elegant and not stuffy. Our entrees were outstanding. It was one of the best evenings we’ve had.More
