Easter dinner was crowded and we waited 25 minutes past our reservation time of 4 pm for our table. Once seated we were not disappointed however. Michael, our server was spot on. Food was excellent including soups, salads, crab cocktail, oysters on the half-shell, lobster...and of course, steaks. The tenderloin and lobster tails was a stand out. Desserts were quite limited but most likely due to the Easter crowds. Overall, an excellent experience. Highly recommendable.More

Went there for a business dinner. Ordered a Filet Mignon medium well and told them they could butterfly it to make it easier for them to prepare. Came out burnt on all exterior surfaces and totally died out. For the price of the meat (with...no sides) and the pretentious atmosphere you would think they would know how to prepare a steak (even medium well). The server should have never served the dish since it was so obviously not prepared correctly. I would have sent it back, but that would have caused issues with the others who were in attendance. I had better prepared filet mignons at the franchise steak houses......More

4+ Excellent food, drinks, ambiance and service! Can’t complain about anything. I knew this would be pricey, but this is the most expensive meal we have ever had.

Our dinner at The Capital Grille was simply fantastic. However, as a vegetarian, I was initially concerned that I would be restricted to the side dishes because the restaurant is well known for its meat and fish dishes. I told the waiter (more about him,...later) about my vegetarian challenge, and he advised me of two vegetarian entrees that do not appear on the menu. I chose the tofu and asparagus gingered rice drizzled with balsamic vinegar dish that was simply suburb. The tofu was tasty and of perfect consistency, and the vegetables atop the rice were sauteed perfectly and arranged artistically. My wife, a more traditional-type patron, had the best filet of her life, cooked as she requested, with the creamiest red-skinned mashed potatoes. We shared a vast salad before our entrees that tasted like the greens had been picked that day. The salad was dressed in a vinaigrette so artfully that it seemed that 1 ml. more would have been too much, and 1 ml. less, too little. Dessert was a fantastic crème brûlée. It was probably the best dessert we have ever had. (Apologies to all my matrilineal family who also make the Cuban version (flan) of this beautiful dish.) We finished the meal about 99.9% confident that we had concluded the best meal of our lives. We also left 100% sure that there has never been a better server than ours- Nolan M. Nolan was amazing- like a magician. He managed to appear at just the right moments and yet not hover about us. He was attentive to our needs even before we knew of them. Nolan magically appeared and dazzled us when we needed him. He was personable, articulate, and kind. He was genuine and not in the least subservient or obsequious. We would support research into how he could be cloned.More

Normally I don't like to go to a restaurant when it is really busy but we felt like we were the most important customers. The waiter (Mike Pilarski - we will request him again) checked on every course to be sure it was just right...and continued to stop by to make sure we were happy. The food was perfect and out immediately. We really enjoyed ourselves and will book again - what a way to start off the year.More

Visited for a late lunch for a special occasion. Ordered the filet and salmon . Filet for one guest was not cooked to order and the cut of the filet was not fantastic.. Salmon dish I would say was the star of the entrees. Great...flavor and cooked perfect . Presentation was quality except for the filets . I would also say the salads were well prepared. We also did stay and have dessert. The Espresso cake was excellent but the coffee served with it was terrible .I would like to return for a dinner service for comparison. Overall the service for this level of restaurant was good but not outstanding. I also did like the surroundings of the restaurant. Nice bar area in the front of the restaurant.More

Parking is street side or nearby parking lots. Every visit the restaurant was very busy and packed with people. Impossible the keep physical distance. Reservations recommended. The service is great with neatly dressed waitstaff. The staff is courteous, attentive, unobtrusive and knowledgeable. Table cloth cover....The food looked and tasted great.More

This used to be our favorite restaurant downtown. Last nights visit will be our last. This used to be our go too. It’s just not keeping up with the competition. Food is comparable to a chain but at a much higher price. The management should...try other local restaurants of the same caliber, they might be enlightened. So long Capital Grille. The only highlight was our server.More

I was there for a national meeting , ate there with a group of 9 in a private dinning room. The waiter was exceptional. Was constantly servicing us and was very professional. food was excellent. I had the lobster bisque which I enjoyed very much....That followed with a pepper steak, cooked to perfection and very good tasting. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I look forward to my next opportunity to eat here.More

We came in and had to wait several minutes for a table after having a reservation even though the restaurant was not filled. We sit down and are greeted and bombarded by so many servers and staff introducing themselves. We ordered the tuna app which...was delicious unfortunately as taken from our table before we could finish. We ordered the pineapple martinis and they just don't stand up to another restaurant that we frequent, pineapple infused martini. My sea bass was very good. The lobsters and cheese was not good at all. I've had better everywhere. My server had asked if I wanted another round I told her yes. 10 minutes later she comes by and asks if I want another round. I shouldn't have to be asked twice for a $330 dinner for two adults and two children who barely ate. My husband had steak and it was average. Also putting the valet in the bill pre tip and tax is just tacky. We will not be revisiting. For a better experience check out Hyde Park Steak House in the Pittsburgh area or take the trip to Del Frisco's.More
