After the year we’ve all had it was such a treat to meet with family here. Our group had a few different dietary requirements and Anna went over and above what I expected to put on the most amazing afternoon tea. There was so much...food so we took it home - there will be cake for days... brilliant! It was great to have a private space to meet and although there are still restrictions in place this worked so much better than meeting in a restaurant. The tables were distanced but Anna arranged them so all the guests could catch up with one another. It’s a beautiful room, the food is delicious - something for everyone. Couldn’t recommend this more for a get together with friends and/or family. Thank you for all your hard work Anna!More

What a delightful and mouth watering feast! We booked 'take away' teas due to the pandemic. Anna was incredibly thoughtful and organised. The teas were really well packed for us to take away and have where we wanted. Anna had some lovely helpful tips about...walks and picnic spots in the area. The teas themselves were really devine. Everyone loved a different element. The Tuna sandwiches got particular applause. The chocolate cake was also a favourite and the scones...well they disappeared in seconds. one of the lightest, tastiest scones i've ever had. perfect amount of cream. Also the actual take away tea drinks were also remarkable. seems silly to say but everyone thought so! Anna worked alot of magic and made our day in the area incredibly sweet and special :)More

I booked The Old Rectory Tea Room in Castle Combe for a double birthday celebration. My husband & I, along with two friends arrived Friday lunchtime and were greeted by Anna who was very welcoming and friendly. The 500 year old Tea Room is a...characterful building in a fantastic location where the inside is much larger than it appears from the front. It is a real treasure trove that transports you into another world, where a warm and welcoming fire was burning on this chilly day in January. A large tea menu means you can choose one which suits your taste and it is served in a china tea pot with bone china cups and saucers. Lovely freshly made sandwiches and a wide variety of cakes and other savouries, beautiful scones with jam and cream and Welsh teacakes all displayed on afternoon tea stands. There was more than enough to eat, although we did manage most of it as it was all so delicious. Anna had made a birthday cake with a candle atop for the two gents who were celebrating their birthday’s and wrapped it for us to take home and enjoy later as we were so full. Anna was attentive; at the same time giving us plenty of privacy, presenting us with a little bell to call her when we wanted our gooseberry crumble warmed and served or found ourselves in need of anything else. We took our own ‘bubbles’, Anna happily provided us with the glassware. It was a lovely experience & I'd definitely recommend this as a good place to go, you will need to make a reservation ahead of your arrival as Anna does not accept walk in guests owing to everything being made fresh that morning. Charming & FABULOUS!!!More
