Excellent but long wait. The lamb gyro and homemade chips were excellent as were the onion rings. The hockey theme is a great tribune to the Hershey Bears hockey club and the walkway leading to the counter has artifacts from the Bears history.
First day at the Hershey lodge. After settling in our rooms after a 3 hours on the road from New Jersey. We went to lobby area to explore for a quick and easy lunch prior to going to Hershey park. My husband and I tried...the steak salad with fries on top with a side of ranch. Very tasty. Grandson Myles tried the butter pasta, Brandon had a delicious burger and my daughter Terri had chicken tenders. Comfort food and delicious to have prior to a visit to park and Zoo America. Sports theme place. With the Hershey Bears team a focus point. Cocktails and beer available. Definitely would recommend.More
Very fun Atmosphere. The wait on a Friday night was about 15 minutes and there was a small arcade room to occupy the kids while you wait for your table. The service was quick and the food was good. Perfect place for families with young...kids and teens.More
This is your typical sports bar. The food is on par, there are many beers to choose from. I had the Smokehouse burger. It's very large (1/2 lb, I believe). It could be split between two people. I couldn't finish it myself!
We have been eating at The Bear's Den for many years. It is a favorite of our family when visiting Hershey. The menu has a mix of sandwiches, dinners, appetizers, and burgers. It looks has menu items that change seasonally. This last visit I had...fish tacos that were delicious. The food is always good and the service friendly and helpful. I want to give a shout out to Jen. Who went above and beyond to seat our large group, and make sure we were satisfied. She was doing a great job with the large groups that were piling in. It should be noted that during the Summer season there are no reservations accepted.More
First and foremost our server was super sweet and did a great job. Unfortunately the food was pretty awful across the board. We had 8 people and only one was happy with her meal. We started with a bunch of appetizers - perogies were good,...mozz sticks were good, nachos were awful, bavarian pretzel was the best thing out of the entire meal.
For entrees - The pesto mozz burger was ok, the louisiana spicy chicken sandwich was not good, the fish tacos were ok however the onion rings were awful - super soggy and mushy. My sister and mom got salads which were ok, and the kids got chicken fingers which were not good, minimal flavor. I get that this is one of the cheaper options in the Lodge and I went in expecting it to be pub food and didn't have high expectations but this was pretty bad. I wouldn't return.More
Went here after seeing the bears phantoms game as I wanted to watch the Flyers game on the tv. Had to wait a bit for a seat, but that’s ok it. was a busy Saturday around 4 pm..Loved the theming as a huge hockey fan...the floor is themed like ice, and the wall was themed like the side of the old barn, along with tons of bear’s memorabilia and even a Calder cup! Each booth had a tv showing the flyers . Food was very good, not 5 star but certainly close to worth the money- 13 for a burger was a little pricey, but not outrageous. Service was impeccable, refills showed up without even asking. At end free Hershey’s kisses came with check a nice touch. I would recommend to the hockey fan when in Hershey!More
We had two meals at The Bear's Den during our stay at the Hershey Lodge. Dinner our first night was following a long day of traveling. Sadly, much of the menu did not appeal to us. I went with a salad which was fine and...my young adult daughter asked if she could order the pasta off the kids menu, which they accommodated and increased the portion size. She ultimately only ate about half as it was bland. Service was friendly but not too quick.
Our breakfast we had was much better. It is the same menu as Fire & Grain and accommodated the overflow since capacity is currently limited. The eggs benedict were delicious and my daughters french toast very tasty. I ordered the hot chocolate which was perfect. Prices are as expected at a resort. I thought the atmosphere was very creative. TVs all around but not at obnoxious volumes like a lot of sports themed restaurants. Each booth has its own tv as well which I guess is good for entertaining tired kids.More
