This is a small, family run business. The owner and our server is from Laos. There was a party of 6 already there with their orders being taken upon our arrival. We read the lunch specials which showed Shrimp Fried Rice $10 and Chicken Fried...Rice $9 for what we ordered. We had water with our meal. The owner explained she needed to take care of the table of 6 and would return with our waters but take our order after the others were served. We waited 15 minutes before our order was taken and then another 35 minutes for our fried rice. That's all it was. It did taste good and mine was made with gluten-free soy sauce. Upon paying for our lunch, the charge was the menu price of $10 for chicken fried rice and $11 for the shrimp fried rice. So we paid $2.00 more for the lunch special plus the tax and spent almost 2 hours in the restaurant. There were several people who came in for take out orders and one lady waited 15 minutes for her pre ordered food. The owner was a very nice lady, but we have had better food for 1/2 the price served within 20 minutes of our arrival.More

Wow, we have had Thai / Vietnamese food in many places from Indiana, to Florida and now Pennsylvania & many places in between. Many outstanding and some that were just so-so. Pathai is now at the top of the list for us. This a small,...clean, tastefully decorated restaurant and the owners are terrific people as well. We started with the Chicken Satay appetizer, excellent, flavorful & the dip they came with wasn't overpowering but complimented the chicken. My wife ordered the Drunken Noodles & asked for it to be made mild. I ordered the Tom Yum Lemongrass Chicken Noodle Soup. My Tom Yum Lemongrass Chicken Noodle Soup was the best soup I have ever had. This was world class soup. Fresh, flavorful, perfectly spiced & seasoned. My wifes Drunken Noodles were also excellent. Just the right amount of mild she asked for. We both enjoyed our meals and if at all possible, will be at Pathai again before we head homeMore

We went on a saturday night at dinner time. We were the second table seated. We ordered some simple soup and noodle dishes and dinner took over 2 hours. The food itself was fine (not the best in town but not bad). The waitress (i'm...assuming she's the owner) was pleasant but totally overwhelmed -the only person working there. My dad's soup came without chicken in it and I couldn't catch her attention, as she was putting together the takeout orders. It got even worse as more people came in (dinner time on sat). My soup came after the rest of my family was almost finished eating. When my husband mentioned she was all alone, she said the place was slow the night before. But this was Saturday night!! I guess she doesnt want to hire help, but she just lost customers. We will never go back.More

A group of us, with varying taste preferences, had the pleasure of trying out this lovely restaurant. I prefer my food on the milder side and was happy to see plenty of offerings for me to choose from - while the others in the group...prefer spicy and hot - and they were as equally impressed. They often find it difficult to find restaurants who meet their spicy standards and they did not disappoint. We shared several appetizers too and found them fresh and flavorful. We are anxious to come back to try more of their menu items. The restaurant is in an unassuming strip mall but it decorated nicely and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.More

Really, really wanted to like this place, as I live close and there's a dearth of good restaurants. The Pad Thai was the blandest I've ever had. It's like they forgot a few key ingredients and it tasted like plain noodles with some crushed peanuts...on top. The Chicken Masaman Curry was not good and I didn't like the quality of the ingredients. We gave them a second chance a few weeks after the first experience and were still disappointed with the food. Good Thai ice tea and shrimp chips. That plus nice decor and friendly people turn this from a one to a two star. I wish it wasn't the case because if the food matched the decor, this could be four or five star. Much better Thai food down the road a few clicks at Saen Thai in Shawnee.More

Very reasonably priced. New restaurant. Modern decor. Not very crowded. Maybe 4 couples there when we were there at 6:30 PM on a Saturday. Pad Thai and Fried Rice with Shrimp were 2 delicious dishes. Soda was bottled with no refills though.

Pathai is a relatively new restaurant in the area, open about 2 weeks now. The cuisine is Thai/ Vietnamese. This being a new venue in the area, it peaked my attention. Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised. The food is extremely good. Not the...standard Chinese variety, but a taste of Thailand and Vietnam not usually found in the area. Try the Spicy Crispy chicken wings to start, or the spring rolls with a small refreshing salad on the side. My wife fell in love with the Mango chicken, sweet and spicy, with just enough heat to make you savor it more as you eat. The Char su BBQ pork is delicious. All fried rices come with your choice of chicken, pork, beef, or shrimp, regular or jumbo. They even prepare it with tofu! A wide variety of beverages are on display, they even have bubble tea! So come on in, give them a try. A truly new and delicious spot to enjoy!More
