Something has gone wrong with their apple pies! For many years they were delicious. That is no longer the case. Two weeks ago I bought an apple pie with the crumble topping since they were out of the regular apple pie. Nobody liked it. Too...much crumble topping, not enough apple filling and what there was did not have much taste This week i bought a traditional apple pie. And it was not good. The pie was sparse on the filling and again somewhat tasteless. Not enough sugar and not even a hint of cinnamon. Plus the crust was not flaky at all and again, kind of tasteless What happened? I've been buying baked goods here for many years. Something drastic has changed. I will give it one more try with a blueberry pie next time. If that's no good I'm done.More

We stopped here to pick up some baked goods and I was generally not impressed. For starters, none of the pies are labeled so we couldn't tell what kind of pies they had. I definitely think some signage indicating what they are selling would be...helpful but it was a bigger issue when the woman working there made it seem like we were bothering her when we asked what kind of pies they had. We ended up buying a pie and some cookies. The cookies were hard and didn't have much taste and the pie was alright but nothing I would make a special trip for. I don't expect we'll be return visitors, between the unfriendly staff and average pies we'll pass next time.More

I took baked goods and fudge to go. Raspberry pie needed sugar, was too tart. Cookies good ate those too fast! Fudge ok.

Brenda’s Family Restaurant ran out of strawberry rhubarb pie and we happened to go by from the Flight 93 Memorial and stopped. Bought their strawberry and rhubarb pie and some donuts. Just had the pie and was disappointed with it. Filled 90 percent with the...red jell filling and no taste of strawberry rhubarb fruit. Have not tasted the donuts yet, hope they are better.More

Stopped here to pick up a Strawberry Rhubarb pie. This pie from the Country Pie Shoppe was the WORST pie I have had in my life. It was filled with that fake red strawberry gel that some people put in fresh strawberry pies, and was...almost completely devoid of actual fruit. In having a slice, you'd have many bites that were nothing but gel. If you were lucky enough to get a strawberry it was fine, but the rhubarb was very tough and stringy. Even the gel was nearly tasteless, and the crust was bland as well. The pie was about 3/4" thick (with no fruit to give it any body). Even my young children thought it was terrible. I am embarrassed for them, that they sold this "pie", and I won't be returning. We've had incredible strawberry rhubarb pie from a vendor at the Perryopolis Farmer's Market (which was all fruit, $7 and left us craving more... which was why we stopped for this one.)More

The store is amazing. The baked goods that we bought for awesome and reasonably priced. Just a wonderful little Hometown place.
