We had breakfast at Cheryl's while staying in downtown Portland. We had a wonderful and unusual breakfast. They provide Beignets for the table upon your seating which are right out of the fryer and wonderfully light. My wife and I always order something we wouldn't...cook at home, so we ordered the Portugese Fried Rice topped with 2 eggs sunny side up. We asked our waitress, Georgina, if it was a large dish that we could share and she said it was. She was right. It was the perfect amount of food for the 2 of us and was absolutely delicious. We wouldn't typically eat fried rice for breakfast, but in this case it was the perfect morning meal. We would highly recommend Cheryl's. We went on a Saturday morning around 9 and the place was quite busy. They have multiple floors, so the restaurant is bigger than it appears when you first walk in.More

There was a group of 8 of us meeting up for a late breakfast. We were seated in the back room. The staff member who was pouring water when we were seated spilled a full glass of water into the lap of one of our...party. She apologized, but that was it. I would have hoped that maybe the waitress would be more accomodating about sthe spilled water - maybe by comping a drink? Disappointed with their lack of response.More

I am a programmer for a local city community center, and our group of seniors (13 people) had the most wonderful experience! The food, ambiance and amazing service that everyone received was top notch! What made it a truly memorable experience was the group getting...to meet Cheryl herself, who was so accommodating and generous. Thank you Cheryl❤ , we will be back again and will be singing your praises with our friends and colleagues.More

We showed up on a Saturday morning and it was pretty busy. We were staying downtown and here to watch the NCAA women’s basketball tournament. I was worried the wait would be long. Not at all! We were sitting down at a table in less...than 10 minutes (even when packed!) our Server was quick to see us, make sure we had drinks and a menu. We received our food in great time as well. Great selection of different foods and for different dietary needs! I’m dairy free and had the green omelette but subbed with goat cheese (my first time trying it) and it was delicious! The OJ is fresh squeezed and reasonably priced for its size. I was pleasantly surprised! Daughter had the chorizo breakfast burrito and it’s big and again delicious. Hubby had the basic eggs breakfast and was happily well fed. My biggest takeaway, it’s not cheap to eat out these days, but they are well priced, the portions are more than enough, the service is pretty fast, the servers are pleasant, and when I got the bill I felt it was very reasonably priced! Definitely got a bang for my buck. We will definitely be back here if in town again.More

Good basic food, extra cheesy hashbrowns were too heavy for either of the people in my party who had them. Biscuits and gravy were a good texture but not a lot of sausage or flavor. Coffees were great! Excellent service, arrived for reservation right on...time and table was ready, no wait even though they were busy. Probably will not be back, sorry.More

Ordered breakfast for carry out the veggie scramble and cheesy hash browns. So many veggies in the scramble and topped with slices avocado just right ripeness. The cheesy has browns were shredded potato just done enough with cheese and a crusty top. Very tasty. Little...beignets thrown in too! Be sure to ask for utensils though, I forgot and they weren't included. The hostess and the manager Mr Almaguer were so friendly and professional.More

Outstanding brunch! Our adult daughter and son-in-law suggested this restaurant and it was an awesome suggestion. We tried the Croque Madame ($19.) the Apple Frittwich ($16), the Egg Sandwich ($16) and the Eggs Benedict ($18). All were served with cheesy hash browns - and the...portions were huge. Not one of us were able to finish! Everything was excellent. That you to Cheryl’s for taking reservations (many breakfast/brunch) restaurants in Portland do not.More

This place is the best. Super welcoming, who doesn’t like complimentary beignets, and delicious. I went on a food tour and am so glad this was one of the stops! We had a great conversation with Ed and Cheryl the owners and loved every bite...of the 4 or 5 dishes we tried. Breakfast sandwich on an apple fritter? Mind blowing.More
