Excellent food and service!

We were in town for just one night and really wanted Chinese food. This place did not disappoint. It’s not much from the outside, but clean and attractive inside. The moment we walked in we received excellent service, we were seated immediately and within another minute received hot tea and ice water. The menu has lots of options for combination plates which we both wanted. We were able to substitute an item with no extra charge. When we received our plates the portions were enough for two meals! The hot and sour soup was the best I’ve had, and the stir fried veggies and chicken, pork fried rice and sweet and sour chicken was great too. There is a sign above each table apologizing for having to raise their prices from .25 to $1.00 per menu item due to additional costs during Covid 19 pandemic. Completely understandable. When we received our bill there was no additional price change so that was a pleasant surprise. We each took about half of our meal back to the hotel and it will go in the cooler for lunch or dinner tomorrow. I highly recommend this place!

Best food and service

Best Chinese food all the way from Salem thru Idaho. It's a given that any Time we go to that area we are eating at Moys. I love their pork chow main and bbq pork and fried rice our son has started eating their sushi and has enjoyed several varieties alsoThe owners are very nice and the restaurant is clean and they take pride in their customer service.

Great takeout option

They delivered to my door in the motel, which I really appreciated. The food servings were generous but quite bland. It was good but not what we are used to, I ordered Kung Pow chicken which is supposed to be spicy, I either got the wrong dish or they forgot the spice. Food is always better eaten in the restaurant.

Mediocre food for mediocre people.

If you're a farmer and you think you know what good Chinese food is, you will probably love this place. If you love bean sprouts (which they probably sprout themselves because it's cheap), you will love this place. But this isn't authentic Chinese. It's white man Chinese; everything is done on the cheap, and there's no flavor. I asked about some substitutions and they wanted to charge me for everything. Plus, they didn't have a wide variety of vegetables they were using in dishes. They didn't even seem to put cabbage in their dishes. We certainly got huge mounds of rice, but virtually nothing was in my pork fried rice. Just a few pieces of pork and a few tiny pieces of egg. Everything was BLAND. The broccoli was limp, but not exactly cooked. Pork was over-cooked and dry. Chicken was mushy. We will not go back. Very disappointing meal. During COVID: they aren't doing 6 foot separation in their dining room. They were using all their booths and someone was sitting directly behind me - 2 feet away. Ugggh.

Asian food in a Western town

Not far off Interstate 84 in La Grande Oregon is this Chinese Restaurant. Started off with the BBQ pork appetizer. Everyone ordered individually, so I got one of their combination plates. Everything tasted as expected. The portions were plentiful. Was glad to have them for a snack later. Prices were very reasonable. I wish the group I was with would have ordered family style so I could have explored the menu better.

Delicious sushi

This restaurant serves great sushi. We had an Alaskan Roll, Las Vegas Roll and a Rainbow Roll. All the rolls are rich filled and tasted great

Awesome food

Vegetables

Had to get some vegetables after 4 weeks in the mountains hunting elk. I noticed Moy’s was always crowded whenever I returned to town for supplies. So when hunt was over drove by and got stir fry veggies & shrimp, dumplings, and tuna roll. All hit the spot. Great service too.

Great food and service

We went here for dinner and it was really good. Portions were very large. Service was excellent! We'll definitely eat here again when travelling through La Grande. Don't know what else to say except try it, you'll like it.

Good food, big portions!

I passed through La Grande about a week ago and stopped in for lunch. The waitress was very cordial, despite the restaurant being fairly busy. I ordered a lunch special with sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, and an egg roll. The food was very good and the portions were larger than those at most other Chinese restaurants. But the building is a little bit older and could be renovated.

Best chinese in a while

Wasn't sure what to expect with not a lot of options in La Grande but this place was great. Big portions and leftovers really tasty too. Will be back on my next trip!

Generous portions, nice people

My BFF and I were hungry after doing some exploring, so I checked Tripadvisor to see what was good nearby. We both like oriental style food, so we selected Moy's Dynasty Restaurant. Nice people! We were seated right away, and could tell this is a favorite place for the locals. We each chose the special of the day. Let's see if I can remember what was on the special...pork fried rice (we both chose plain rice instead) sesame chicken, sweet and sour pork, and spring rolls (IIRC). The plates were served very quickly, and I have to tell you the portions were huge! Unfortunately, it was all fried, which is hard on my tummy. I was surprised the sweet and sour pork didn't include veggies. It was all very tasty, but I could only eat about a quarter of the food. My hint would be to look carefully of the description of the food, or ask one of the friendly servers. I would have liked to go back to try a different dish, but unfortunately, my time in the area ran out.
