Best steak I've had in a restaurant.

My wife and I decided to have dinner at Mamacita's. My wife had only had lunch an it was good she said. I ordered the bleu NY strip. Ordered it rare. It was perfect. The blue cheese sauce was mind blowing. My wife had the chicken stuffed manicotti. She was very please. I will recomend dinner here to everyone. Service was great and very quick for a full dining room.

Too hot.

We wanted to sit at the outside tables for dinner - not sure they were doing inside seating because of Covid. Not all the large umbrellas were working to shade the customers. It became so hot we had to get our dinner boxed up and head to the park for some shade. The dinner was average. Not sure we'll go back until the weather cools off.

A pleasant surprise in La Grande, OR

Mamacita's Restaurant has excellent, imaginative food and drinks. We have been here a few times on our trips to see family. Although their name sounds like a Mexican restaurant, it only has a couple of Mexican dishes. I love their pasta dishes! They also have very nice crafted cocktails. A pleasant surprise in such a small town. All of the employees are very friendly, helpful and efficient. As with many restaurants these days, it is a noisy environment.

Ruined clothes from spilled vinaigrette.

The waiter dropped a vinaigrette dressing all over my husband ruining his polo shirt and shorts. He brought my husband a wet rag and disappeared. My husband had to ask for another wet rag and more vinaigrette. We tried to get the oil based dressing out of his clothes but it didn’t work. I’ve been leaving messages with the restaurant asking them to do something about the ruined clothes but they will not return my calls.

Was all good until I noticed mold on my pasta. My husband just rushed us out and I threw up in the car. I really liked the sauce though.

THE GOOD: Great food with ample portion sizes; THE BAD: Quite loud and slow service

The food was great with more than ample portion sizes and selection. The only downsize was the noise and service speed (would improve with another server during peak and help with those on a tight time schedule). Overall, a nice place but try for a booth if you want to hear one another over the crowd.

Delicious. Lots of choices

We had eaten at Latitude 45 in baker city and they recommended this place because of same owners. It was a delicious lunch. Huge Wraps were good. Quick service. They have the freshest salad greens. Love love their sweet potato fries.

Great little place

If you’re traveling through La Grande during lunch or dinner, this is a great places to stop. It’s in the downtown area so you’ll have to be purposeful to go here off the Hwy. I had the best burger I’ve ever had at this place. It was a pepper bacon Wagyu beef burger. It was $15.00 and worth every cent. My wife had a Thai salad that was pretty large. The people were very nice and attentive. The place is clean and service is fast, if you’re worried about time. I highly recommend trying it out.

Great place for nice, casual dinner.

My wife and I enjoy this restaurant. Good drinks, great french pepper steak(the best). Sometimes we just get out and split a nachos(it is super big and good) We like to sid in the basement or outside in the summer. We do our work Christmas party there most years and they do a great job.

Where are the vegetables?

Service was good, price was OK, but my husband's order of baby back ribs came with white spaghetti and garlic bread and no salad or vegetable, Difficult to find a healthy meal here.

Best all around eatery in town.

La Grande has a limited number of choices, especially when it comes to a diverse menu. Mamacita's used to be a Mexican restaurant that was mediocre at best, but now they offer a few Tex-Mex options but also a great selection of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, and specialty entrees, especially their pasta dishes. The service is consistently pretty good and the prices are in line with what you'd expect, albeit on the higher side for La Grande. The location and atmosphere is ideal, being part of Max Square.

Tasty food, Ridiculously slow service

We often stop here on road trips that bring us past La Grande because the food quality is good; however, as a road trip stop more than once we’ve been frustrated by not just slow, but very slow service. This trip, we were the only Table in the main dining room and it still took 25 minutes from time server took our order to receiving our meal. Considering it was dinner and slow good food...that’s not unreasonable; however after we finished our meal, it took another 15 minutes to get servers attention and get a check...provided credit card with check and waited another 15 minutes. Not worth the road trip delay. I hope the owners work on improving their ticket times and attentiveness to the tables. It wasn’t the first time we noticed the slow service...but as this was ridiculous!

Many don't agree with me, not a big fan.

In this town, most of my friends love this place. For me it's mediocre at best. I've had about 10 meals here and one was delicious. The others taste as bland as I cook at home. Since it's local, I'll keep going once/ twice a year. The desert was half a slice of pre-made restaurant supply pie :( sad and cheap move.
