The best breakfast burritos!!!!

wonderful small authentic greek food. You have to try the breakfast burritos(be aware you might want to share with someone as they are rather big). I always just stop by on my way to work, as there is not indoor seating.

Wow so good

This is mainly a drive by pick up place and if you want excellent Greek food then do drive by. The gyro meat (platter for me and salad for the better half) was amazing and the best I have had since our trip to Greece many years ago. We are only here for a couple of days but we will try to stop in again. BObK

Great Greek Food

On a roadtrip we decided to stop at La Grande for lunch and found a hidden gem! This cute little shack made some of the best pitas ever. We decided to sit outside and did not use the drive through window. Or order consisted of a Greek veggie and a falafel pita. Both were nice sized pitas and loaded wit fresh lettuce, tomatoes and feta cheese. The falafel was the absolutely best we had ever had. It was rich, moist and seem to have garbanzo beans and spinach deep fried. This cute little place is a great place!

Yummy and Friendly Staff

Very good Greek inspired food. Our server was friendly and properly masked. COVID-19 protocols were being followed. Generous food quantity of the daily special salad. Outdoor seating was cute and relaxing.

Great family-run Greek restaurant.

A good weather stop

The food was worth the stop. A good Greek taste in sort of a fast food atmosphere. It is a very small place and there is no indoor seating. The patio has plenty of seating but you wouldn't want to try that in the winter. I noticed most of the orders while I was there were to go. Still the food was worth the stop.

I always stop at this gem on my way past La Grande on Highway84. Have enjoyed everything I've ever ordered here. Greek breakfast burrito is amazing, get there before 10:30am. Baklava is made in house. If I lived in La Grande I would eat nearly every meal here.

Delicious!

The food was terrific - so flavorful & the right amount of spice. I had a grilled veggie pita and my husband had something with meat - we both loved our meals. The people were super nice too, great service. Drive-through window, which would be important as it gets cold since there is no indoor seating. There is a nice outdoor seating area. Highly recommend it! (The building is blue now.)

Greek Food in the Heart of Cowboy Country

When we travel east on I-84 we love to stop into this place for a quick bite of Greek food. The owners are very kind and you might catch a glimpse of their grand-kids helping out! You definitely want to choose the right day because most of the seating is outdoors. Great little La Grande secret.

Opa! DO NOT MISS gold mine

This little Greek drive through with a seating area is not to be missed! We had a beef and lamb gyro and a sampler plate. Everything on the sampler plate was delicious! The gyro meat, the keftedes( Greek meatball) well seasoned and cooked to perfection, the spanikopita was cheesy,spinachy goodness layered in fill dough, the shrimp breaded and cooked just right! The sampler plate also came with a side Greek salad. If you love Greek food or are willing to try something new stop here!

Delightful Greek Experience

What a delight! Our visit to Yia Yia Nikki's was unexpectedly delicious and fun. We were first greeted with a sampling of the day's soup special. The owner and his wife entertained us with stories about Greece while their son capably cooked our meals. Sitting is very limited so plan to take your meal to-go and enjoy it at a local park.

Amazingly good food!

I was on a road trip through eastern Oregon, and it was about lunch time. I got off the freeway and drove through La Grande trying to find an independently owned fast-food type of place. A small bright blue building caught my eye . . . and am I ever glad! I parked and walked in to order. Met a lovely gentlemen there (the owner?) and we had a very nice chat. He gave me a sample of the soup of the day which was outstanding. I had the standard gyros (minus the onions) and it was absolutely delicious. I drove back to the freeway and stopped at a rest stop to eat it. Huge, messy, and just wonderful! In nice weather, they set up a few outside tables. If you want some great Greek food at a reasonable price, get off the freeway and try this place. It's across a side street from Safeway, sort of on the south end of town. My only regret is that it's a really, really long drive back here ;-)

Worth Trying

I am have been meaning to try this little drive through place but I was always had other dining places. What was I missing? A lot! The staff was very interactive and so friendly. The food was simply delicious. I had the sampler platter to try a variety and it was all good, even as leftovers. The only bad thing, no place to sit and eat in a cold place. I would definitely drive through again! You should go too.

Great little spot for lunch

I am not very familiar with Greek food, but everything I've tried at Yia Yia Nikki's has been very tasty and filling. The staff is friendly and the service is fairly quick despite being the small size of the place. In the good weather there is outside seating. If you like Greek food stop by and give Yia Yia Nikki's a try.
