We had food delivered and it was good, hot and very reasonable prices. A good alternative to the other Chinese restaurant in town.

They gave us a lot of food for the price and it was delicious. We couldn’t even begin to finish it there was just that much. If I ever get back to that place I’d definitely recommend it.

Hands down, the food we enjoyed at Chen's for dinner while staying at a motel on a rainy night was totally the best! If you are traveling on Hwy 84, stop here for lunch or dinner and you will wonder why more Chinese restaurants don't serve food of this caliber. I had the combo plate #1 with House Lo Mein, General Tso's chicken and crab puffs (with real crab), preceded by hot and sour soup. Enough food for tomorrow's meal as well and so reasonably priced. My partner loved his egg foo young and salmon sashimi. Service was great, and restaurant was clean and spacious. Outside tells nothing about the inside and what awaits you. We'll return here on our annual trek from Seattle area to AZ!

The inside is very attractive, background music is relaxing, service is wonderful! My husband enjoyed a great serving of Kung Pao Chicken and paid $2 more to upgrade from white rice as a side to pork fried rice. He LOVED it - spicy enough to call it Kung Pao, but not too hot. Just right! He had to use a to-go box as the serving was large! I ordered the "choose four" menu, and had an egg roll, pork fried rice, peanut chicken and sweet and sour chicken. Both meals come with choice of soup - egg flower or hot and spicy - we both loved the spicy soup! I loved my dinner choice - the egg roll did have a little too much fried covering, which I picked off, but the inside was wonderful! I enjoyed some hot mustard mixed with sweet/sour sauce and used that with almost everything. I had to use a to-go box for some of my meal also. Really good food, great atmosphere and very reasonable prices! Just ignore the exterior!

I was going to try this place when I came through La Grande last spring. First, this isn't an all you can eat buffet. I think the last operator at this location did that. This is the standard Chinese restaurant with numbered combinations you often see. It's a good size menu, so you have a wide choice. I ordered a combination plater. They give you a choice between hot & sour or egg flower soup. I went with hot & sour and it was indeed very hot & spicy. After about 10 minutes, I got the player. They give you plenty to eat, so if you order a combination, bring your appetite. The peanut chicken was a breaded fried boneless chicken with a peanut sauce on top, not bad. The chow mein was the traditional bean sprout chow mein. It's been a while since I've had this kind and it tasted pretty good. The fried rice was pretty standard. If you like fried rice, you would like this. Right off the freeway & near the motels. When you see Wendy's, you'll see this. Pretty good Chinese food.

We enjoyed the old China Buffet, good food and good people. This new outfit has some big shoes to fill. The food was typical, and not as good as the other Asian places in the area. That's part of the problem; with SO many Asian places in such a small area, you need to have something unique to get and keep your customers. This place lacks that. Plus it's just weird to see tables and people sitting in the old buffet area! Not sure if we'll be back again or not.

Food was good , and plentiful , the waitress on the other hand , seemed extremely distracted/ inexperienced! Took a long time to take our order , then an Older Asian woman came out & delivered our appetizers , then the waitress delivered the food to a couple that came in after we did , and ours was at best luke warm - I miss the old buffet , where if service was bad , it was your own fault!
