It’s been awhile. First day Stanford’s was re-open! We were so glad to be dining in again that we took pictures to celebrate the moment. Servers and staff were gracious and efficient and practicing safety procedures. The one use menu selection was pretty limited. But it’s a start. Food, as usual, was fresh and well prepared. Be warned though, portions are slight and prices are probably 25% more. Two brews, onion rings, two cups of soup, with two half Cobb salads, splitting the $9 steak extra added option to salad, about two ounces... $80...for lunch. 😬
With the extra sanitation costs and limited serving capacity, I certainly understand the need for higher prices. But dining out will be an exceptional treat out, when one spends half of one’s weekly food budget on one lunch. Feeling a bit guilty for the extravagance when so many are facing devastating economic disaster.
I remember growing up that, as a family, we’d go out once or twice a year when my grandparents were treating. I can see that being a new normal.

Ordered the lunch special salmon, lemon rice and asparagus 20+ dollars. The salmon was greasy like the sprayed or brushed it with oil before putting on the Char broiler, asparagus was the same, they both had a weird film of oily soot on them. I only went here because my guest said to meet at Stanfords. I have not had a good experience here. :(

Not a regular lunch stop for us, but since dinners have been good, we decided to stop. Parking was great as several businesses in this little strip mall have closed. We were seated promptly and our server, Dalenia, actually presented herself before the hostess left. Very friendly and upbeat, she was knowledgable about the beverage choices, and returned promptly with our selections. We had ahi Poke and a house specialty soap as appetizers, and both ordered their Cobb salad as our entree. Considering the were Coo salads, we were a little surprised when we were asked if we wanted a meat/fish topping. My did. I didn’t, but got chicken anyway! Let’s just say Stanford’s has their OWN version of a Cobb! Salad was fresh, ample portion, and enjoyable. Personally, what I enjoyed most was how knowledgable our Server was about their Tap offerings. After a short discussion, I took Dalenia’s suggestion and tried their featured Stout. WOW! She was dead on with her suggestion and I enjoyed it immensely ( actually several times). Best server we have experienced in a long time, and we dine out frequently. Professional, but friendly; knowledgable, not pushing; energetic, not acting tired or bored! Watching several of the other servers, S’s should use Dalenia in some training capacity. Her exceptional service warranted a 30% tip!

First, the service provided by our server, Dalenia, was exceptional. It was primarily because of her we chose to not formally complain. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday so we went outside the box and ordered their featured Top Sirloin dinner. I should have realized things would not meet my expectations when my side of Brussels sprouts was covering over half my dinner plate, but my thick cut TS requested Medium Rare was presented so dry that it has no flavor, the meat is old or not stored properly, or left in the oven way too long! Whatever the reason, it’s not expected as part of a $122 lunch! The claim that Stanford’s is one of Clackamas’s premier steak houses is NOT warranted !! Years ago, a friend in the restaurant business told me, “ don’t ever order off the dinner menu at lunch, the chef’s skills are not the same!” I’m sorry I didn’t remember that until after we ate! Stick with the lunch menu or, better yet, pick somewhere else !

Located in a strip mall, Stanfords provides expensive, quality food with Ho hum service. We are older and we were Hungary. So we popped in for a Cobb salad (delicious), a BLT, and some onion rings. The sandwich was what one would expect and the onion rings were done to perfection. Sandwich =$14.00. Salad= $15.00. Rings= $12.00
Total=$41.00 plus $5.00 tip sooo.. $46.00 for lunch.

We ordered prime rib and it was raw. Had to pay extra for bread which I could have done better myself. I wouldn’t waste money on eating here. Not romantic taste of music was for a very young generation.

Stanfords is my go-to when dining in Oregon. I’ve eaten at 3 of the Oregon locations and was never disappointed. I took a long time friend here for lunch. She had never eaten at a Stanford’s before. How many people rave about french fries when they get a burger? My friend did, plus she said the burger was delicious. I went with a Cobb salad. It was a meal. I’m a blue cheese lover and they don’t hold back on the blue cheese crumbles.
The atmosphere is so relaxed and actually rather classy. The interior is clean, the servers are well trained, cheerful, menu knowledgeable, and friendly.

This is our FIRST eat-in restaurant experience since Oregon lifted its COVID restrictions. Stanford's hit it OUT of the ball[park!! We started with Mojito cocktails and the Spinach Artichoke dip. The Mojitos were spot on and dip was a big portion of cheesy goodness, My wife ordered the Prime Rib and I ordered the 12 oz Rib Eye. Both were prepared to perfection. AND, Sharon said here side of Mac and Cheese was THE BEST she has ever had and she likes Mac and Cheese. Everything came out in a timely manner. Our server Trisha was EXCELLENT, she checked on us periodically, but did not hover. Stanford's NAILED IT!!!!!

Next to the Clackamas Mall. Good standard sandwiches and salads. Fresh ingrédients and great service. Loved the grilled chicken Cobb and my husbands Cuban sandwich looked amazing.

The service was attentive and nice. We had some ribs as an appetizer which were flavorful. We had a Cuban and a Cobb salad. The salad was good and the Cuban could have been better.

We have been to Stanford's many times with very good experiences. NOT tonight! I ordered the pan seared halibut and it came over done and dry. When Ben our server checked on the meal, I informed him and he took the dish, About 12 minutes later a new dish arrived. This fish too was over cooked, but not as badly as the first, I informed Ben and he asked if I wanted another entree'. By this time my wife had completed her dinner except for a few vegetables, so I responded, "no thanks", I ate my fish, but it was clearly not up to what I perceive Stanford's standards to be. The bill came, with no offer of compensation. $30 is a lot for over cooked fish!

Loved that they were open went with a friend from out of state had the buffet, wish that the ham and turkey was moist and not dry or the green beans not cold. Other than that it was nice. I had already done the full meal when my son and his family was here early in November so it was nice not to do it again
Would I go back for Thanksgiving maybe not
