I visited bubasa with my boyfriend on a Monday lunch time as our first visit. Firstly they tell us they’re out of all coffee which was frustrating (but nothing they could do as apparently it was due to the supplier!) then the waiter was blunt...and patronising when I asked about wether or not the prawn crackers contained real prawn. The food itself was actually quite nice but the experience was ruined even further due to all the staff grouping together to mock a customer who had left (we heard him, he was concerned about sitting close to too many tables when there was room for him elsewhere) may I add this is a very valid concern and they proceeded to sit a couple next to him when there were many empty tables away from him they could of been sat on. We were sat by the door and heard all the staff laughing and making fun of a customers concerns saying things like “you’re more likely to die from” ect. Not very nice and doesn’t feel like a welcoming atmosphere due to this . Also it was quiet and there was plenty of staff, and not once were we asked during our meal if everything was okay, the only time they approached our table after taking our order was to deliver us our bill. Great restaurant, good well cooked and presented dishes. Served by Janek outside overlooking the river, luckily sun out, absolutely fabulous but busy. Would recommend to everyone and all, very tasty well served by staff and caring Management.

Came with a group of friends to catch up after a long lockdown - did not disappoint!
The service was lovely and fast! The food was delicious but definitely spicey!
Cocktails were exciting and yummy!! Would definitely recommend!
Ordered through deliveroo a grilled chicken green curry with brown rice, cost me £18 ( incl delivery charge) , turns out it has only THREE pieces of chicken in there and the sauce is outrageous artificial GREEN, its definitely not worth the money and falls...way behind it's normal standard. Will not order again! Really disappointed.More
Lunch yesterday, kind of amazed at how they are managing customers and covid, esp given my coffee shop experience earlier that day. You need to have the NHS app and sign in, lots of hand sanitiser & the kitchen has a limited menu to allow...SD in the kitchen, and space to socially distancing. You cant be from more than one bubble. We always love this place and this branch is in a beautiful spot. Undoubtedly weird times- pretty quiet at 12.30. Food as good as ever perhaps, great squid, ribs, duck and green thai curry. Service professional.More

My husband and I came to Busaba for lunch today since it was my birthday and a nice bright day and we fancied sitting outside. Firstly, we were left waiting at the entrance for a while before any staff member acknowledged us and showed us...to a table. There weren't any available tables outside so we told the female staff member we would sit inside and look at the menu until one became free. We noticed 2 tables become available but we had to alert the staff to clean one up for us; this took at least another 20+ minutes. We were finally seated outside on a clean table, we ordered immediately and my dish came promptly, however my husband's was delayed and we had to ask the staff yet again for assistance and remind them of our order. Sadly, I had already finished eating before my husband's dish even arrived at the table. There were 3 members of waiting staff and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy at the time we visited so I have no idea why they were so slack. There was very little attention and no real apology for the inconvenience caused. The food was ok but the poor service left a taste in our mouth and I doubt we'd visit again in the future.More
We went here for a late lunch after a beautiful visit and walk to Hampton Court Palace. The restaurant was very quiet (3:45 on a Friday) and we felt very safe as we checked in on the track and trace app, lots of hand sanitiser...available and we were greeted by a friendly and welcoming member of staff. I’m vegan and there were a few dishes for me to choose but the pad Thai is a huge favourite for me and it was absolutely delicious! My friend chose a beef rice dish which she devoured and there was a lunch time price deal before 4pm which we were able to take advantage of. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and a delightful bottle of wine, the service was good and we can’t wait to go back!More
