Really rather expensive for what it was. Tangine was very disappointing, very dry and didn’t taste fresh. Overall very very expensive. Mezze is ok, but how hard is it to screw up a mezze?? Plus point it’s a great location, but just not good enough,...go to another restaurant next door with the view. Won’t be returning.More

4 of us ate here this evening. Loved the food and the setting. Ate on the terrace first but moved inside due to rain. We loved the Lebanese decor and the friendly, cheerful service by George, in particular. Would definitely visit again and my niece...Katie gives a thumbs up.More

This has to be my favourite riverside restaurant in Kingston by far. The food and mojitos are incredible. Sitting outside on a sunny day, there’s nowhere else quite like it. I’ve been 3 times in a matter of weeks and the only thing that lets...it down is lack of staff. It’s always full, literally at 12 noon you can’t get a table outside and there’s just not enough staff there. The ones that are working are flat out busy and it’s very hard to catch their eye. Please, the location, food and drinks are amazing but you just need more staff working!More

Visited Comptoir a couple of weeks ago for lunch on a Saturday. Food ok, but service veered between aggressive and disinterested. I have eaten here before and it's been ok, but I won't be returning. If I was associated with the management of the restaurant...or the chain, I would be concerned about the attitude of the staff within this branch.More

This has always been my most favourite restaurant! Absolutely delicious food! Love the decor! Its in lovely location! Sitting outside on the river is great. This was our first visit since start of Covid. Sadly the best dish has been taken off the menu, crispy...lamb with yogurt! We had other choices on the menu but meal was very dry and we had to ask for yogurt three times. Wine was lovely, good as normal. Service was excellent! But overall disappointed with meal :(More

I’ve recently started working in Kingston but live in the south west so this was my first foray into its food and drink world. I’d been directed to Riverside Walk to start with, and it is a 10 minute walk from the Premier Inn. Set...on a narrow quayside the Thames strolls by with watercraft and other activities close to a bridge over the Thames. There’s an eclectic mix of eateries in a short row. Not sure what is further afield as it started to drizzle. I opted for this Lebanese restaurant because of its simple menu and outshone it’s neighbours. Outside seating covered with jumbrellas so it looked good for al fresco dining but I chose indoors. I had the mixed grill which was 5 kebabs of chicken and lamb with a salad and rice. £14.95 and it was really lovely and worth it. Very prompt and efficient service and it seemed popular with lots of takeaway orders going through as well. 5/5 for food safety on the “scores on the doors” scheme. It’s a nice interior, very bright and slightly chaotic in appearance but gave a natural warm atmosphere. One Turkish draught lager plus wines and bottled beers. I finished with Baklawa which rounded meal off nicely. I was served by the ever so lovely Laura who made sure all was good for me and so it made a great evening better; even though it was solo dining for business. I’ll be staying at the Premier regularly so I will be coming back to here again. Great to be back socialising again after all this time too.More

With a choice of restaurants to choose from along the waters edge, this one is always where we land. Staff are accommodating and go to the extra mile, food is good value and delicious, customers make a safe and family atmosphere and the river completes...the dining experience. We visited twice on this occasion - lunch and early evening drinks. The waiter was fantastic and a brilliant ambassador for the business. Thank you!More

As a family we thought we would try somewhere new, unfortunately this restaurant was not great. Staff were friendly enough but short staffed for the amount my tables. Food didn’t seem fresh, chicken koftas tasted like lamb, side salads were very soggy, dirty plates were...piled high at the back tables by the toilets with flies hanging around and then they slapped a £12.50 service charge. We will not be returning to this restaurant, we were stuck indoors where the staff were more interested with the customers outside by the river front.More
