As a regular at this restaurant since the inception I know what to expect, the phenomenal food, attention to detail, the class of the staff and their desire to make sure everyone has the meal they wanted. Tonight after a change of plans thought I...would go for a takeaway for the family, absolutely amazing, enjoyed it as much as the dine in experience for the food. Normally food that’s delivered just doesn’t satisfy like it does when in a restaurant, however this delivers the taste bud sensation that eating in so frequently does. Guys keep up the amazing work, your food is still exceptional in a very bland ordinary world.👌 C.WilkinsonMore

An absolutely superb experience. The food is seriously sensational. It was a real privilege to dine here. I just need to make sure that others are aware of this culinary masterpiece - and that it is literally on our doorstep.

Great meal, fantastic co-operation from two Managers, who were exceptionally helpful in advising what vegan dish to have and how to make it personally tailored to my needs. My second delivery meal was even better than the first and the food is fresh, and the...menu small enough to make it a cosy, wholesome experience, rather than a 'one sauce fits all' bore.More

Two of us had lunch for the first time at Dastaan yesterday and it was amazing and surpassed our highest expectations. The venue is not like your normal restaurant.....I would describe it as rustic but with such charm and ambience that you feel as if...you are actually in a lovely part of India. The only other place that conveys this feeling of being in the Country is The Beaujolais Club in London. The menu covers many regional dishes but unlike most Indian restaurants this is the "real" deal and perfect if you like it spicy. I have been to most of the Michelin rated Indian restaurants in London and Dastaan is not only as good but probably even better.....albeit with less grandeur but far more reasonable prices. The owners, Sanjay and Nand, have worked in many Michelin star restaurants with Gordon Ramsy and Angela Hartnett including Gour in Dubai, The Connaught Hotel and Sanjay moved with Angela to open Murano where they were awarded their first Michelin star after just two months. Sanjay and Nand then worked together at the award-winning Gymkhana in London before opening Dastaan. This restaurant is not to be missed and if you love real Indian food you can't go wrong.More

Ordered a takeaway from there last night (£5 delivery charge). The curries themselves were generous portions and tasted exceptional. However, the whole order was cold and I had to reheat everything in the microwave, which I am sure affected the taste of some of the...food. The mustard seed potatoes were disappointing and the spinach side dish had separated and was a watery mess. The nan bread was also cold. I am sure had I eaten in the restaurant it would have been so much better and it is a shame I clearly caught them on an off day.More

While pleased with the food, although all dishes were a little overly spicy, the online ordering was awful. Firstly, you cannot alter your order once you get to payment without rewriting; secondly after payment you are then advised the order will be 2 hours! and...thirdly we were not advised of a £9 delivery charge.More

I have to say this is the best Indian take sway I've experienced in a long time. There are mediocre take aways and pretty good ones, but this place is a serious level up. The restaurant was already full at 630 in the evening, and...I can see why. We ordered a tandoori chicken tikka and lamb rogan josh, and these were simply delicious. Clearly effort and skill has gone into these dishes, as they are a cut above what I've had elsewhere. The rice was fluffy and tasty and the Peshawari Nan was top notch. Even though the food had been travelling for 30 mins, it still retained its depth of flavour. Looking forward to eating in the restaurant at some point as the dishes look great and you call tell are made with some finesse. Well worth checking outMore

Authentic tasting food from unlike many ‘Indian’ food restaurants. Service was great as well. Would definitely visit again.

My wife found this place for my birthday meal, and I'm glad she did, as it's probably the best Indian restaurant I've been to. Avi was great at explaining the menu and the service was excellent - very friendly and attentive. Food-wise, there was a...really good selection, particularly if you're not a meat eater. Lots of great seafood, veggie and vegan options. The tiger prawns and seafood sheekh kebabs (so light) were both amazing as starters, and I loved the aubergine masala for my main course - it has a delicious sweet and sour thing going on. Look out for green coriander dip that comes out with the poppadoms too - amazing. We loved it all and will be back again soon!More
