Amazing food and very friendly staff. Very nice to the kids who were trying indian food for the first time.
We all think Dastaan is the best Indian by a mile outside London. It's in a completely different league to 'normal' Indians. Everything we ate (far too much) was absolutely delicious. Cant wait to go back.
Was introduced to this gem by a friend and have been back a few times since. It’s only open for dinner Monday to Friday and lunch and dinner at weekends and you usually have to book. Lamb chops are incredible and worth the £10 price...tag (each). The prawns, chicken tikka and all starters are equally as tasty and properly cooked to a tender finish. I’ve had for away a from here and they weren’t as good as having it in the restaurant. It is not cheap, but then good quality meat and vegetables aren’t cheap. It’s a small venue but can make space for tables of 8 (maybe more…?) Parking is tricky so got to side roads instead. Well worth a detour but booking it in advance is advised.More
So happy i found this place, service was spot on and staff know there dishes and helped with choices. I will certainly be back here. Make sure you try the lamb chops! 😊
Excellent food as always & great helpful friendly service. Small restaurant so best to book & worth retrying if no availability.
Wonderful food & service so friendly and welcoming not your usual Indian restaurant but food is delicious can’t wait to go back
We've visited this restaurant twice and will be back soon. The pompadum starters and beetroot is a must. The aubergine masala, fish curry and lamb curry are amazing. Don't miss the pistachio kolfi. Great service and simple booking. Love this place!
Visited early on a Wednesday evening and although initially quiet it soon filled up adding to a pleasant atmosphere. Service was very good and the food very tasty.
Fantastic experience, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is incredible. For me the best Indian food I have ever tasted. I went with my son last night for dinner at 6pm (09-6-23. We shared some starters and also some mains and...side dishes, all of them were so so good. Thanks to all at Dastaan for a lovely evening, we will be back soon.More
Great food with fantastic service. All walks of life cliental and buzzing atmosphere. A must go local joint. You can have doggy bag as well…
Great food, relax atmosphere with very friendly staff, who were happy to recommend dishes & specail drinks. A steady flow of customers coming to eat & some collecting. Would definitely recommend this place. Very reasonable £ too.
The food at this restaurant was excellent as was the personal service. A cut above any other Indian restaurant. We were all completely satisfied & we all like a variety of spicing & flavours. Well done!
AMAZING. Came to Leeds to visit friends for the weekend and we were very happy with the choice! The staff were also so lovely! 🥺
Following the sale of my house, I took some English neighbours to Dastaan for a celebration / thank you meal. The menu has a number of creative dishes, the likes of which one would only see at upmarket Indian restaurants in town. We ordered a...variety of dishes, from the likes of mild paneer tikka to the spicy pork vindaloo, and, of course, the signature dish, the lamb chops. All were delicious and were enjoyed by one and all. We appreciated that Kamal ji, the manager, regularly checked in with us to ensure that all was well. And after the kitchen closed, Sanjay ji, the chef, spent a significant time with us. He answered our questions about the sourcing of the ingredients, the various celebrity chefs that he had trained under and the modern day challenges of running such a restaurant. That made it a memorable visit.More
