Looking at the map we thought this was a lot further off the main road, a pleasant surprise to see how close it is. On a sunny Sunday the Teahouse was very busy and that didn’t stop the staff from being friendly and welcoming. We...More

Beautiful located restaurant, offering delicious food (especially the foccacias and scones) and great coffee! Totally in love with their turmeric latte! Enjoy my time here every time. Especially sitting outside gives you a great relaxing view over Lake Barrine.

We are regulars at the tea house. We travel up from Gordonvale just for morning tea or lunch. The prices are quite reasonable and the service is wonderful. The scones, I have to say are award winning, they are the best. The view is one...More

Nice cup of tea, but no scones. Like a pub with no beer is a tea house with no scones. How can an owner let that happen ?

We live in the Barrine area only a few kilometres from the Lake and tea house, and are regular visitors for morning or afternoon coffee after a walk around the lake on the National Park trail, or occasionally for a meal. The location is stunning,...More

Nice setting, friendly staff but our tea was tasteless, even after letting it sit for quite a while it still tasted like faintly flavoured water. We had ordered two different types of tea and both were weak and tasteless. . Wouldn’t return.

Operated by the 3rd and 4th generations of the Curry family, the Tea House at Lake Barrine has been offering delicious breakfasts, lunches, and cafe drinks, boat tours, and a beautiful view of the Crater Lakes National Park tropical rainforest since the 1920s. An excellent stop off on a visit to the Tablelands, or even a destination in itself, we would love it if you stopped by!
