if your expecting good pub food then dont come to this pub, it was shocking to say the least, i had the(warmed partially through) Steak and Ale pie with the concrete top, i got the impresssion it was made some time earlier in the week...More

good quality pub grub ,don't ask for lamb shoulder unless you are really hungry .Its delicious and too much for one person.

Ordered poachers chicken, steak and ale pie and Lakeland sausage meals at the bar. Ordered 3 pints of Carling Made our way to the table and the food was already there If we wanted fast food we would have gone McDonalds. Soggy heated up food...More

Been here several times, and it is always a welcoming place. The food is okay - standard pub fayre. But I get the impression that some food gets microwaved - I could be wrong, it's just the way it appears. But not bad.

My partner was served burnt steal and ale pie. I had scampi. The chips were hard and frozen veg. One guy who seemed local and sat not far away got a scampi meal too. His looked so much better. I don't know why they served...More
