Apart from having a very nice coffee this little deli/cafe offers lovely sandwiches and sweet slices. It also caters for people looking for food etc that is a little different like Truffle oil at a really good price.
I like this cafe because it's more like home. Lots of locally produced items such as jams, sauces, salard dressings.
The coffee is very good. Food is excellent value.
On cold days, ask for your drink and meal to be served at the same time...because the cold wind quickly chills your coffee if your outside.
But otherwise, you won't be disappointed.More
Stocks all the local produce including Disaster chilli condiments. Hot coffee, breakfast and lunch. Probably the second best coffee in Eden. (Of 3 cafes you can buy coffee) lol. Time required to visit this attraction - 7 minutes
This is a small shop with huge character, friendly staff with wonderful spirits. It appears to be the place that all the locals flock to, it was packed. I can see why, absolutely delicious toastie with fresh ingredients, great coffee & reasonably priced.
We were heading to the lighthouse and we wanted to buy a couple of sandwiches and some salad. We dropped into the delicatessen and ordered a chicken salad sandwich plus a salami sandwich with all the works. In addition I got a small Cole slaw,...equally good. The ladies serving us were friendly and served us well. Sorry no pictures but we ate the sandwiches with relish!More
Always got value at this establishment years ago, and am pleased to announce that this hasn't changed.
We were greeted with smiles from both the girls and my partner was warmly embraced by the owner. (Whom she knew)
And this embrace was carried over to...our food and the service.
Most people reading this will remember the Salad rolls you could purchase 20 years ago, that had so much content as well as flavour in them, this is the place you will find these.
Well worth it, and if you are wise enough to eat in, finish off with a piece of Cheesecake (hopefully it's a staple here), and let your hips be happy, as well as your tum tum.
On our departure we noticed a plastic bag near where we were sitting, and in it were bay leaves, and next the bag was a note saying please take some if you wish.
It seems food is not only some people's passion, but it is also there mission to educate and help others in there confidence about cooking.
Lastly, when leaving have a stop over at the huge Cheese and meat cabinet, and take some yummies home with you.
It's full of quality, as are the shelves that line the back wall full of hard to get dry goods.
Will look forward to returning here, and a thank you to the boss and her smiley employee for a simple yet nice lunch under your roof.More
