Recommended by friends, so this was our first visit to this restaurant. This dining experience did not receive a 5 from me simply because rain prevented the use the beautiful and spacious outside patio. Therefore, it was very crowded and noisy inside. However, I do...not object to capacity crowds which helps owners recover from problems caused by Covid. The food was delicious. We ordered a couple of appetizers and all 4 in my party ordered different entrees and each of us were very pleased with our meal. The wait staff was very attentive to our table, and in spite of the crowd were able to quickly provide what we requested. I agree with other reviews, the entrees are reasonable but the add-ons and drinks are a bit pricey. I look forward to dining here again, but will not plan my visit during peak dinner hours.More

The food was exceptional, fresh & delicious! A variety of appetizers and entrees including amazing pappardelle bolognese! The bolognese sauce was perfection! The black pepper spaghetti is a side dish to die for, spicy version of classic Italian pasta Aglio E olio! I am still...thinking about it. The rappini was a classic, perfectly sautéed with garlic, red pepper flakes and olive oil. While the food was an A+ it was matched by the atmosphere! Don’t miss this place.More

I know most restaurants are struggling with staff, so I will try to be kind. I ordered mojitos for my date and I and it tasted like pure lime sour mix being the worst mojito I've ever had. Couldn't taste the mint or any alcohol...and for $20 a piece not worth it at all. Upon being seated our waiter took everyone's orders for drinks and appetizers and never inquired for ours. I ordered the steak and it was awful, I ordered it medium and it came with one end rare and the other was completely charred. I didn't have the heart to send it back as I was with a group of people. However, I would never order another steak there regardless. The steak seemed like a very cheap cut and didn't have any flavor while even the rare end was tough.More

It was our first time trying this restaurant & so glad we did! The atmosphere- the staff - the food was wonderful! Our waitress offered the special which was an appetizer & was well worth it! Very delicious! The food was not only delicious but...great portion sizes. Definitely leave room for dessert- we had the chocolate tart with chocolate mouse - sweet tasty delicious- was more of a layered cake than what you would expect from a tart but topped off the meal! Will definitely be going again.More

My wife and I enjoyed our meal. We had the steak and the veal. Both of them were well prepared and tasty. The sever was very attentive and made some good recommendations. They also have a good selection of wine, beer, and cocktails. I would...definitely go back and would recommend this place.More

The waitress was slow to respond to drink and food orders. She had a sour disposition and even delayed in bring us our desert- so we took it to-go and paid the check. It appears as though mgmt is also a problem- he observed the...situation and seemed to be aloof.More

My family and I had a great dining experience last night at Vivace. We did make a reservation in advance because it was a Friday evening. When we arrived we were immediately seated at our table. Within minutes we had our drinks and warm homemade...bread. There are outdoor tables available over looking the strip mall. The indoor seating, observing all health and safety precautions, was spacious and full of ambiance. The staff worked as a team to provide for all of our refill requests. The menu has the normal Italian fare with a little twist. For example the bread is served with a bean spread and the salmon was served with capers. This made the experience stand out from other Italian restaurants.More

We were lucky to have a lovely day to enjoy eating outdoors here. There are several outdoor tables with umbrellas available, as well as the restaurant itself indoors. The server was very pleasant and helped with choices. The food itself looked very nice on presentation...and was good - nothing outstanding. I had a nice field greens salad with fresh ingredients - another appetizer of Brussels sprouts looks great but just so so. It is a nice place to sit outside and have a drink I think - and a small bite.More

The place was too loud and the staff service was poorly organized. No bread or drinks at the table for a good 10 minutes while our order took another 30 minutes. The open kitchen concept should be reserve for high quality cooking and not sweaty...Gatorade drinking cooks. The food lacked flavor overall. That was not Italian dinning. We were not impressed.More

We discovered this little gem last night and were completely blown away. The food was excellent! We ordered the brussel sprouts appetizers and were one of the best we have ever had. Wife had the Papardelle while I ordered the Chicken al Mattone and both...were excellent, well seasoned and great portions. I would definitely recommend this in the future.More

Food was good for the most part although can get expensive if you add on items. Biggest disappoint was the service. Understand they are short staffed but we were not waited on too timely at the end of the meal after feeling kind of rushed...at the beginning of the meal. Also no place to request that it’s a special occasion and they don’t ask. Minor detail but can make a difference when you are celebrating. Had the mushroom pizza with chicken which was really good especially if you like fluffier flatbreads. Wife had the spaghetti with meatballs. We didn’t have any apps but the cheese plate with meal and Brussels looked really good. We also hear this is a great place for lunch.More

Completely unaware this restaurant even existed in North Hills, we were very pleased that we stumbled upon it. Located in a strip mall, one would think the ambiance to be mediocre or noisy at best, this was truly not the case and the outdoor seating...next to the extremely large water feature had a strong familiarity of dining outdoors in Italy, but a bit more open. This establishment is taking all necessary infection control precautions, seating is arranged to allow for social distancing and plenty of hand sanitizer on hand. I highly recommend the FORMAGGIO &CARNE to start, paired with one of the exceptional red wines they have to offer, of course! The freshly baked bread and olive oil provided to the table offset this starter very well. They are offering a limited menu currently, which does not include their Gnocchi unfortunately. The Gnocchi was the main reason we decided to venture out to this establishment. The staff are all quite welcoming, although I did feel our waiter was a bit stand-offish for some odd reason! In light of the transition to the limited menu, I felt the need to stick with the classics and order the spaghetti and meatballs, EXCELLENT choice! Between the food and relaxed feel of the outdoor seating we spent more time here than we typically do at any restaurant. Cheers!More

The restaurant had Great service, nice atmosphere, and good food. For me it was a great option for a date where I wanted something fancier than Olive Garden but not so fancy that it didn’t feel natural to have a casual conversation. The service was...fantastic. The waiter, William, wouldn’t let my glass run dry. William was sociable and a great host. The food is good. I ordered formaggio and carne, a carne pizza, and a 3 layer chocolate dessert. The formaggio and carne was excellent and the 3 layer chocolate was delicious and very well displayed. The pizza over all okay, the toppings were top notch but the crust was (in my opinion) unreasonably hard. And everything you expect from a restaurant at this price was there.More

OM Goodness! Best caesar salad and pasta bolognese with goat cheese creama ever! Food is outstanding, ambiance/decor soothing and service is great! My single and only concern was that the music was soooo loud and to us the actual type of music was not fitting...to their image/ambiance; it was difficult to enjoy our conversation. Other then that Bravo!More
